PSC’s Coast Guard-licensed tankermen are responsible for loading and unloading of barges, a critical link in the U.S. The tankerman serves as the Person-In-Charge (PIC) of the transfer, with responsibility for the safe transfer of refined, chemical and liquefied gas cargoes to and from vessels. PSC tankermen are trained in the handling of dangerous liquids and liquefied gases, v***r recovery, firefighting, facility operations, and emergency response. In an effort to increase the number of qualified, well-trained tankermen to meet industry needs, PSC offers a comprehensive training program through its Tankerman Career Academy (TCA), in operation since 2003. The mission of the TCA is to train men and women to be the best tankermen in the industry through a program which includes both classroom and one-on-one field instruction. PSC also offers a wide array of other product handling and site logistics services at refineries, terminals, chemical plants, and warehouse operations across the U.S. PSC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
