Incredible commitment to safety! Congratulations Shell Geismar!

Our warehouse team recently hosted a ceremony to celebrate an incredible milestone: 23 years OSHA-recordable incident free. 🎉💪

The ceremony brought together members of our Supply Chain team, HSSE, our Turner Industries partners and our Site Leadership Team, who recognized the dedication and strong safety mindset that made this achievement possible.

Congratulations to the warehouse team whose hard work, commitment and focus on safety helped make this milestone possible! 👏

Exciting news for Louisiana as CHS and OCP North America announced plans for a major new investment in Waggaman. The proposed joint venture would invest up to $450 million in a new phosphate fertilizer facility at Cornerstone Energy Park, the first facility of its kind built in the United States since 1984. Once operational, the facility is expected to produce more than 1 million metric tons of phosphate fertilizer each year, helping support American agriculture while creating new industrial jobs and investment in Jefferson Parish.

We were glad to be there for the announcement alongside Secretary Brooke Rollins, Governor Jeff Landry, and leaders from across the state and industry. Projects like this demonstrate the important role Louisiana continues to play in supporting agriculture, industry, and our nation’s supply chain.

We were proud to join CF Industries and partners for the groundbreaking of the Blue Point One low-carbon ammonia facility in Ascension Parish.

This nearly $4 billion investment represents the kind of world-class industrial development that continues to position Louisiana at the forefront of energy, manufacturing, and innovation. Once operational, Blue Point One is expected to be the world’s largest low-carbon ammonia facility, supporting thousands of construction jobs and more than 100 permanent jobs here in Louisiana.

Ammonia is the chemical foundation of the nitrogen fertilizers that help feed the world and it is increasingly playing a role in new energy and industrial applications. Blue Point One is an incredible example of how Louisiana chemistry can strengthen American manufacturing while serving critical markets around the world.

Congratulations to CF Industries, JERA, Mitsui, and everyone who helped make this tremendous investment possible. LCA is proud to support our members and the projects that build Louisiana’s industrial future and create new opportunities for generations to come.
