This month, we’re proud to spotlight Ernie McFarland and thank him for his service. His determination, resilience, and accountability are just some of the values Ernie carried from his five years in the Army into his career at Performance Contractors. Since joining the company over 12 years ago, Ernie has continued building something bigger than himself. From entry-level to General Foreman at SpaceX Kennedy Center, Ernie has brought the same work ethic and dedication to every project along the way.

The data center boom is changing the pace of construction. And when the pace changes, capacity has to change with it.

For contractors, that means thinking ahead about workforce, supervision, fabrication, equipment, logistics, and how all of those pieces come together across projects and regions. Head to our blog linked in the comments to see what we’re learning as we scale what we’ve always done well to meet a rapidly growing and changing market.

When the turnaround window opens, the clock is already running.

There’s a lot to execute in a short amount of time, and every person has a role to play. That’s why our teams put in the reps before game day, from planning and prep to crew huddles and working through the playbook. Come kickoff, we’re ready.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

We remember the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage of those who ran toward danger when others were running away.

We also remember what came next - neighbors helping neighbors, strangers caring for strangers, and people from every corner of our country coming together with compassion, courage and an unwavering commitment to help one another.

Today, we honor those we lost, those who served, those who helped, and all those who continue to carry their memory forward.

Never Forget. United We Stand.

The work may happen in the field, but a turnaround starts on paper. Before crews mobilize and equipment moves into place, there’s a lot to get right: the plan, the sequence, the people, and the details that keep everything moving once the window opens.

Performance brings the preparation to match the pressure of the work, and this is the kind of challenge we love.
