It takes a village -specifically - four lighting designers and five lampers who oversee roughly 60,000 light fixtures. We work on a range of projects and the intricacies of each blow my mind. We learn something new every day.
We often encounter the end results of designers and architects who don't think thru the lifespan of a project. Yes, lights burn out. I'm guilty myself of purchasing cheap fixtures that are impossible to re-lamp. Hiring someone and paying them double the cost of the fixture to change the bulb is infuriating! This is my reminder to think thru the end stage of the project - not just the pretty picture stage!

A look behind the scenes at the illumination of the pieces on display. The so-called lampers strike a delicate balance between accentuating the art and protecting it from the effects of light.
