🌡️ EXTREME HEAT ALERT 🌡️
High temperatures are expected across our area, and safety needs to be everyone's top priority.
When working outdoors:
💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🧢 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing
☀️ Take frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas
⏰ Limit strenuous activity during peak heat hours whenever possible
👷 Watch for signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke in yourself and your coworkers
Remember, heat-related illnesses can develop quickly. If someone experiences confusion, stops sweating, has a rapid pulse, or loses consciousness, call 911 immediately.
Don't forget about your pets, either—make sure they have access to water and shade, and never leave people or animals in parked vehicles.
Let's look out for one another and make safety our priority during this heat wave.
