This last Saturday both teams competed at Jenison's Robotics Tournament. Both teams did incredibly well, both making it to top ten in the tournament, Team P with rank 10 and a record of 3-3-0, Team B in eighth with a record of 4-2-0. Team B was selected for the third seat alliance whereas Team P selected as the sixth seat alliance. In the end, neither team made it past the first match in round robin. However, Team B managed to come away from the tournament with a Judges Award. Congrats Team B!

Today Team 2581 B and P competed at the West Michigan Holiday VEX Competition. This was one of the largest competitions in the nation with three divisions overall and more than a hundred teams present. In their own divisions, Team B (in the North Pole Division) was ranked 21/29 with a 2-4-0 record. They happily joined the fourth seat alliance in the round robin tournament. Team P had a tough competition, having poor luck along with connection issues, and malfunctioning mechanics. Despite these issues, Team P was chosen as allies for the 8th seat alliance for the Whoville Division. Sadly, though, neither team made it past Quarter Finals. At awards, Team 2581P received the Design Award which qualifies for West Michigan Regionals on January 27th! Congratulations to both teams on their hard work today! Best of luck to both at the next competition on January 13th! (More pictures to come, here's a couple for now:)
