Renosol Corporation

Renosol Corporation Custom molded polyurethane foam products and material handling dunnage. Its business at that time was formulating polyurethane and plastisol compounds.

Renosol Corporation was formed in 1981 from the Chemical Specialties Division of Hoover Universal. In 1987, Renosol entered the automotive interiors market, molding seats for the GM Corvette. This became its largest sector for a number of years. After expanding its operations from Michigan to Ohio and Alabama, Renosol was featured in the 2007 Inc. Magazine 5,000 List of the Fastest Growing Compani

es in the U.S. with 136.4% revenue growth between 2003 and 2006. In late 2007, Renosol sold its seating interests and returned to a smaller operation, similar to the organization it was at its beginning. Over the years, Renosol has accomplished a series of 'firsts', among them:

1991 - First in the U.S. to commercialize a non-CFC, non-HCFC integral skin polyurethane foam system.

2002 - Introduced a reduced-amine-producing seating formulation based on Dow Chemical Company's VORANOL™ VORACTIV™ polyol.

2007 - Developed a soy polyurethane formulation for use in automotive seating: introduced in the 2008 Ford Mustang

Renosol continues exploring new technologies.
