In 1957 McRae and Sons, now known as Precision Wood Manufacturing, began providing wood manufacturing solutions for our customers in the Pacific Northwest. We continue to service long-term clients like Purdy Corporation of Portland, manufacturing millions of brush handles a year. Today, Precision Wood Manufacturing provides diverse service solutions including; manufacturing, fabrication, prototype development and other ancillary services.

It is with great sadness we share the news of the passing of our employee & friend Bob Brodigan, our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends. Bob was a craftsman of the highest order, our resident welder and metal innovator. We are grateful to have shared time and space with Bob over the past 3 years and will miss him deeply.

Sure you might have some coasters you picked up somewhere sitting around, but do any of those hold your wine this good? Precision Wood Manufacturing's coasters come in sets of 4 for $10 (wine not included). They are made out of re-purposed wood and are sure to wow both your house guests and maybe even yourself! Who knew a cutting board could serve this good? If you want to serve your friends with class and just have one extra excuse to throw out that flimsy plastic cutting board from your cupboard, here it is: everything you've been looking for. Our cutting boards are available on our Etsy and will be sold at the Tillamook Farmers Market! Have you gotten a chance to see one of our European Bread Boards? These are designed typically for bread so that the crumbs fall between the cracks for easy cutting and clean up. However, look at how nicely these look for a serving tray! We will be back to the Tillamook Farmers Market on July 27th; Stop by to see these wonderful boards along with some of our cutting boards and butcher boards!

Just reminding everyone that we will be at the Tillamook Farmers Market on June 29th and we hope to see you all there. We have a variety of both metal and wooden wall (or garden) art, bee houses, cutting boards and coasters. Not to mention a few surprise products that we are excited to share with you at the market. Come check out our tent in a little over a week and see what we are all about (spoiler: it's no longer handles)

Many of you may have heard, yesterday we made the difficult decision to lay off 14 members of our production team. In response to unforeseen circumstances, we ceased the production of paint brush handles. Although we continue manufacturing for other industrial businesses, we are incorporating new products and new ideas. From wall art in your living room, to coasters and cutting boards in your kitchen, to even bee houses or wire art from our metal shop, Precision Wood Manufacturing is expanding to please the public. We hope with this expansion we will be able to, in time, rehire the amazing group of employees we once had.
We are here, we are creating, and we are ready to take on new challenges.
