Howdy. This is a post I recently put on LinkedIn. It has garnered a decent amount of attention. It only takes one individual to recognize the magnitude of this solution. The application is environmentally safe while securing cost savings to municipalities.
Water Tower - Exterior Coating
There is a significantly improved method for coating water towers that can transform the industry. The traditional use of epoxy coatings is not only costly but also has a short lifespan before mold and mildew begin to develop.
Utilizing Cocoon 550, which contains an imbedded biocide, can save municipalities or businesses with tank complexes over $5.1 million over 25 years at a minimum. Here's how it works:
- Cocoon 550 is a PVC Co-polymer, a type of plastic that prevents mold and mildew from germinating.
- In cases of rust, a rust converter is applied to transform the oxide into phosphate.
- Cocoon is a plastisol, and any overspray turns into plastic dust, preventing contamination of surrounding structures.
Application of Cocoon can be done from articulating lifts and sky cranes, eliminating the need for expensive scaffolding and tents. Interestingly, the current vendor responsible for most towers in New Jersey declined to try Cocoon 550 because it didn't align with their business model.
Cocoon 550 has proven effective for notable architects like Frank Lloyd Wright, making it a reliable choice for your needs. Please reach out to discuss further.
