🔧 Project Spotlight: Pipe Casing Protection in Indiana & Illinois

Zerust Oil & Gas successfully delivered corrosion protection for two pipe casings, safeguarding our client's critical pipeline assets for long-term reliability.

🔹 Project 1: IL, USA
✔ Injection Plan Adjusted: Due to residual water in the casing, the corrosion inhibitor solution was injected in 250-gallon intervals at a 10% concentration to maximize effectiveness.
✔ Application Process: 975 gallons of Zerion® FVS Corrosion Inhibitor + PGH Gel Powders was successfully injected, with discharge confirmed from the downstream vent pipe.
✔ Monitoring: Installed a 20-ft CT-20 ER Probe for corrosion tracking and a pressure relief valve for regulation.
✔ Ex*****on Challenge: Initial injection was delayed due to ongoing excavation; Zerust personnel returned to complete the process successfully.

🔹 Project 2: IN, USA
✔ Injection Process: A 600-gallon tote was used to pre-mix the corrosion inhibitor solution, ensuring proper homogeneity before injection.
✔ Gel Powder Addition: PGH-300 & PGH-400 Gel Powders were introduced via Eductor Injection Equipment for optimal distribution.
✔ Full Injection Confirmed: The annular space was filled successfully, with discharge verified at the downstream vent pipe.
✔ Ongoing Monitoring: Installed an ER Probe to track inhibitor performance, with routine data collection recommended.

👏 Outcome: Both projects were completed, providing effective corrosion protection and ensuring asset longevity.

Project Highlight: Custom Corrosion Mitigation Solution for Tank Bottom Protection in São Paulo, Brazil 🌟

Zerust Oil & Gas and Zerust Excor - Brasil recently implemented a tailored corrosion mitigation solution for a key asset to protect critical infrastructure.

🔧 Project Details
Target Asset: In-Service Tank Bottom (Approx. 19-meter diameter)
Solution: Application of a Chime Ring IDS using Zerion® FVS-S15 Corrosion Inhibitor Sleeves, sealed with a Sealant Tape & Protective Topcoat Sealant System.
Monitoring: Installed Corrosion Monitoring Coupon Assemblies to track inhibitor performance beneath the steel floor plates.

👷 Team Effort
The collaboration between Zerust Oil & Gas' Alex Roytman and Zerust Excor - Brasil's Barbara Oliviera and Daniel Amorim, alongside local personnel, ensured seamless ex*****on.

💪 Activities included:
+ Surface cleaning and application of Concrete Primer.
+ Installation of monitoring assemblies and inhibitor sleeves.
+ Application of Sealant Tape and multiple layers of protective Topcoat for a durable seal.

🌐 This solution not only protects the tank’s chime interface from contaminants but also extends its lifespan through proactive monitoring and maintenance.

💡 Conclusion: This project was completed successfully despite challenging environmental conditions. Continuous monitoring of the asset is recommended to ensure the long-term effectiveness of the corrosion mitigation solution.

Our Zerust Oil & Gas Global Meeting is in full swing! 🎉 Yesterday was an incredible day of collaboration, featuring insightful presentations from our team and partners. A special highlight was the interactive Pipe Casing Gel Loss Demo, expertly led by our talented engineers, Yefim Vaks, Mikhail Ivanov, and Juan Olivo. 👏

The simulation showcased how Zerust Corrosion Gel effectively retains the inhibitor inside the casing, even when there are holes in the casing, or gaps in the end seal, addressing potential leakage concerns.
