New 600’ driveway install wrapped up in Hickman.

Process included:
- Stripped topsoil off of hillside for owner to spread (per his request)
- Cut hillside down to acceptable subgrade material and compacted
- Cut in runoff swale on West side of drive
- Applied 8”-9” lift of compacted structural fill
- Topped off with (2) 3” lifts of compacted crushed concrete 15’-16’ wide w/crown in center of roadway

Finally put the finishing touches on this project today in Valparaiso. The before video is in the comments.

In total we took 347 loads of material out of the pond with a 46tn off road truck. Totaling somewhere in the ballpark of 8,500-9,000yds of material removed that will be replaced with water once the client fills the pond with his well. Although the rain (upwards of 9” since project start) turned days into weeks for unworkable days we’re happy with how this turned out.

We’re very grateful to be able to transform someone’s property and make it so that they will be able to enjoy it for years to come!

We recently finished up this job near Burr, NE for a client who will be using it for both hunting and a training hunting dogs.

The job consisted of a handful of tasks:

-Rejuvenating the existing middle dam between the main pond and a smaller pond due to erosion

-Building two walkways and a stand alone island in the smaller pond that training bumpers can be placed on or the trainer can walk on while watching dogs

-Building a swim by pond for dogs to have to swim through to get to any of the 4 sides where training bumpers will be placed

-Building a waterway from the middle dam back up to the swim by pond that will fill the whole area with water and have walkways and island approximately 20” above the water level to allow dogs to enter and exit water easily

New laser grade 333G from Murphy Tractor in action. This setup has the capability to get within 1/4” of the desired elevation which in turn helps give us the opportunity to save our customers both time and material.

Thanks to Taylor Wenzl at Murphy for getting us set up with this machine and to Sam Busboom for giving us the opportunity to use it on his project in the video.

Here’s some small pad work we’ve done recently:

The first two photos are from work we did to an existing pad. The back half of the pad was higher than the owner’s building and he had issues with water standing around his building. We cut it down all the way to the edge of the pad and got it ready to level out for a new building in the future.

The third photo is a new 60x50 pad we built for a building and lean-to to be placed on.
