🎉 Happy Retirement, Bookie! 🎉
Today marks Bookie’s last day with Homer Nine and Sons after nine years with our team, and we’re wishing him a very happy and well-deserved retirement!
Over the years, Bookie has played an important role behind the scenes—working in our warehouse, managing our fleet, maintaining our grounds, and taking pride in keeping things around our facility in great shape. Whatever the job was, you could always count on Bookie to put care into his work.
His impact here went beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, too. Bookie even started our Tuesday night company golf league, giving our team another way to spend time together and build relationships outside of work.
That same giving spirit carries into the community. Bookie is actively involved with the Rochester Elks, where he generously gives his time to support local causes and community efforts.
At his retirement breakfast on Wednesday, Bookie shared one of his favorite quotes: “Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses.” 🌹 We can’t think of a more fitting message as he starts this next chapter.
Bookie, thank you for everything you’ve done for Homer Nine and Sons over the past nine years. We’ll miss having you around the shop, but we hope retirement brings plenty of time with family, rounds of golf, continued involvement in the community, and plenty of opportunities to stop and smell the roses along the way.
