"Out of the Darkness. Into the Light."
Finally getting a chance to post this breathtaking, one-of-a-kind primary bath remodel!
The name of this project says it all! The existing primary en-suite was terribly dated, dark and felt cold and cramped, despite its impressive footprint of over 200sf. Worst of all was the oversized, cave-like shower that completely blocked-out any natural light. We’d never seen anything like it! The end result was a highly collaborative effort between our client and us.
Virtually everything in this space was unique and won’t be easily found elsewhere. The finishes were almost entirely imported from Europe. The elaborate British plumbing fixtures required extensive modifications to the American plumbing.
The glass shower enclosure is a one-of-a-kind frameless custom piece. The tracks are recessed into the tile which required careful coordination between tile setter and glass fabricator as some of the tile had to be completed after glass installation.
The honed natural marble floor extends into the curbless shower where it transitions to the same pattern made up of 2” pieces laid in a mosaic to match the squares. This accommodated the floor pitch without necessitating unsightly envelope cuts in the larger tiles. The shower walls are 24x48 honed marble. The shower has two individual showering stations with their own controls.
A gorgeous freestanding tub with exposed overflow takes the place of the ubiquitous corner jet tub.
Azek® PVC trim was used to create the 2-piece crown moulding that matches other areas of the home and extends through the shower.
Even the lighting is unique with a combination of gleaming chrome sconces, 2-inch LED micro-spots and LED lighting in the baseboard trim around the tub!
Heated floor, towel warmer, a heated bidet seat with remote control and beautiful wainscoting throughout complete the timeless, luxury environment.
We’ve completed a lot of high-end bespoke bathrooms, but this one by far holds the crown! 👑
