PSA:
We see it all the time! How important it is to use a licensed air-conditioning company to do your work. We have a couple that paid a “handyman“ to install their new air conditioner, two years ago. Now it has a massive refrigerant leak in the evaporator coil, and they have no way to get a hold of him (he will not answer phone calls) and therefore, they have little to no Avenue of obtaining warranty work. I understand, everyone is trying to save a buck, but don’t go down this avenue! I am not saying that you have to use Smejkal Elect and air-conditioning, but make sure you’re having your new air-conditioning work performed by a licensed HVAC contractor. One licensed by the Texas Department of licensing and regulation.
