My final response to the attacks we received on “Bee News”:

As the owner and operator of Smejkal Electric and Air Conditioning, Inc., I would like to make one last comment. My grand dad Frank Smejkal started this business over 75 years ago. It has been family Owned and operated ever since. Every single person employed at Smejkal Electric and Air Conditioning, Inc. works extremely hard every day to make sure we make our customers happy. Many times we are not able to satisfy everyone, every time. There are many obstacles that can get in the way of an electrician's or HVAC Tech's way throughout the day. We have a very hard working secretary that answers phones, interacts with customers at the counter, and she also has to do invoicing and paperwork every day. Many times she is not able to get immediately to the phone, but if you leave a message and have a touch of patience she will most certainly get back to you. There is no way I would even try and claim that we are the only AC company in town and that you should use ONLY us! There are a few really good ac companies in this town and they to are owned by some really good, honest folks. I have always said, "I never mind someone else getting the business as long as they are licensed professionals." With that being said, I will close with, God has blessed our company and our family and given us the strength and endurance to stay in business as long as we have. We love the community of Beeville and support when and where we can. We will continue to try our very best to handle the electrical and air conditioning needs of Bee County and we will do our darn best to always do it with a smile and a hurry. Please continue to support small business' in this town and please lift us up in prayer to handle attacks when they come. Thank you for all that support us!

Today marks the 109th birthday of Grandpa Frank Smejkal. Founder and long time owner/operator of Smejkal Electric. Last November marked 76 years since Grandpa started up the business. I miss him all the time but am so thankful for the time I had him in my life and all he taught me. April 2nd - “Frank Smejkal day!!”
Happy heavenly birthday Grandpa.
