Happy 25th Anniversary to The Chrysalis Inn & Spa! 🥂🎉

Over the last 25 years, the Chrysalis has become such a special part of the Bellingham community. Constructed by Pearson Builders in 2001, it’s been the setting for waterfront stays, spa weekends, weddings, celebrations, and quiet moments overlooking the bay for so many.

We’re proud to have been part of bringing this iconic Fairhaven destination to life, and even prouder to see it continue to serve both visitors and locals all these years later.

Kingfisher Chiropractic: Now open for business at 40 Bellwether Way, Suite 103 in Bellingham! 🏢👏

Our team recently completed the new space, creating a clean, welcoming environment designed to support both patients and staff from the moment they walk through the door.

The project included new HVAC systems, electrical and lighting, plumbing, floor-to-ceiling windows, track lighting, a spacious reception area, and a Culligan water station with sparkling water. The completed space now supports three exam rooms, an X-ray room, and two offices and was designed with future expansion in mind, helping make any future upgrades more seamless for the client.

One of the most meaningful details in the space is the live edge reception countertop, which the client and a friend milled, finished, and installed themselves. Seeing their personal touch become part of the final build made this project even more special.

Wishing the Kingfisher Chiropractic team the best as they officially open their doors and begin serving the Bellingham community!

Happy Work Anniversary, Sid! 🎉

After many years with Pearson, Sid still enjoys the craft of woodworking just as much as he did when he started. For him, the best part of the job has always been the people — seeing happy clients at the end of a project and knowing the work made a lasting impact.

The Orcas Island projects have especially stood out over the years. There’s something rewarding about being part of every stage of the process — working directly with homeowners, milling trim through the Pearson woodshop, and seeing those details come together onsite.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find Sid hunting, helping friends with outdoor projects, or heading out on one of his annual trips to Eastern Washington and Idaho.

Happy anniversary, Griffin! 🎉

Griffin’s path at Pearson has been shaped by a hands-on approach to learning, taking in every stage of the building process. He enjoys working alongside some of the most knowledgeable people in the field, and for him, the reward is in seeing how each piece comes together, from early groundwork to the finished structure.

The Atwood-Hyman home was a standout project for Griffin. The foundation alone took months, carefully formed into the side of a rock cliff, with concrete scribed to match the natural contours of Chuckanut sandstone. It was detailed, demanding work that required patience and precision, and a defining experience early in his time with the team.

That mindset carries into every project he’s part of. Showing up ready to learn, pay attention to the details, and contribute wherever needed.

And outside of the jobsite, there’s another skill he’s developed along the way... Griffin’s known to be a pretty great cook! 👨‍🍳
We’re grateful to have Griffin on the team!

Transforming a space while it’s still in use takes a little extra care. 🛠️

The Kingworks Engineering project was reimagined into an inspiring office environment. We added new spaces, including a bathroom and private office, and repurposed the existing wood trim to preserve the original warmth of the space. With clear communication and a thoughtful plan, we kept things running smoothly while upgrading their space.

The result is a clean, creative, collaborative office space that matches the exceptional work at Kingworks Engineering. We hope their team enjoys working in this space as much as we did!
