Hydrogen may be the fuel, but thermal management helps keep the system performing.

Fuel cell stacks and their associated power electronics generate heat that must be effectively managed for safe, efficient operation. GRI Pumps works with OEMs to provide compact, customizable liquid cooling solutions for hydrogen fuel cell systems used in applications ranging from material handling equipment to delivery vehicles and medium- and heavy-duty trucks.

Before the first sip, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes. ☕

GRI Pumps has a long history of providing OEM pumping solutions for the food and beverage industry, including applications found in coffee brewers. Whether moving the beverage itself or circulating fluid within a cooling system, the right pump can play a small but important role in the equipment behind your favorite cup.

Seventeen years after the birth of the Gorman Rupp Company, Edward M. Smith designed a noncorrosive centrifugal pump for the appliance industry in 1950. He and Horace Montgomery partnered with The Gorman-Rupp Company to bring the product to life. By 1952, production officially began on what became known as “The Mansfield Line.”

Demand grew so quickly that production soon outpaced the small Bowman Street facility. As orders continued to increase, it became clear that expansion was necessary. That success ultimately led to the creation of a dedicated manufacturing facility and division in Bellville, Ohio, where GRI continues operating today.

25 years later, we remember.

On Patriot Day, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the courage of the first responders and everyday people who stepped forward, and the families and communities forever impacted by that day.
