To make your AC work more efficiently during hot days, focus on reducing the heat load on your system and ensuring it's running optimally. This includes using fans, closing curtains, maintaining your AC unit, and adjusting the thermostat settings to save energy without sacrificing comfort.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
1. Reduce Heat Load:
Close Curtains and Blinds:
Solar heat gain through windows significantly increases the workload on your AC. Closing curtains and blinds, especially during the hottest part of the day, can make a big difference!

Use Fans:
Fans circulate air, making you feel cooler and allowing you to raise the thermostat setting slightly without discomfort. Consider using ceiling fans, floor fans, or even bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans to help distribute cool air.

Cook Outdoors:
Avoid using the oven or stove during the hottest hours, as these appliances generate a lot of heat. Opt for grilling or other outdoor cooking methods instead.

Manage Humidity:
High humidity makes your home feel warmer. Reducing indoor humidity with a dehumidifier or by taking shorter showers can help your AC work more efficiently.

2. Optimize AC Performance:
Keep the Thermostat at a Consistent Setting:
Frequent adjustments to the thermostat can make your AC work harder. Set it to a comfortable temperature and leave it alone!

Adjust Thermostat When Away:
When leaving your home for an extended period, raise the thermostat setting to save energy. A programmable thermostat can automate this process.

Maintain Your AC Unit:
Change Air Filters Regularly: Dirty air filters restrict airflow, forcing your AC to work harder. Replace or clean filters monthly.

Clean the Outdoor Unit: Keep the condenser unit free of debris and ensure it's not blocked by landscaping or other obstructions.

Schedule Professional Maintenance: Annual maintenance by a qualified technician can identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.

Ensure Proper Airflow:
Keep Vents Open and Unobstructed: Ensure all vents are open and free of furniture or other items that could block airflow.

Consider Running the Central Fan: If you have a central AC system, running the fan constantly can help circulate air and even out temperatures.

Seal and Insulate Ducts:
Leaky or poorly insulated ducts can significantly reduce AC efficiency. Consider having your ducts tested and sealed by a professional.

By implementing these tips, you can help your AC work more efficiently and comfortably, even on the hottest days.

Good Morning, not much good news today seems like a lot of people lost their lives since Friday morning. I see where some died from car accidents, floods, shootings, and a cutting that hopefully the persons involved will recover. As a tropical storm bears down on us with rain and 40 mph gusts. I’m sitting on the porch watching the birds and cats eating their breakfast. So I decided to have my breakfast out here as well. It is so cool and relaxing outside this morning. This rain ain’t gonna stop me from going to church. I believe that the Holy Spirit will surely bless those that brave The elements to come Worship today. It’s really a great time to show God how much you love being in His House. I remember sitting in snow and rain to watch a football game. Because I loved my team. I also remember sitting in the extreme cold too. Once I was in Bristol for a night race when a hurricane came across and it was like 2 in the morning before the race ended. So why in the world would I not be in church today just because of a little rain and wind? Now if you are elderly or disabled, I don’t blame you for staying in. I’m speaking of the people that would sit through any weather to watch an event that they love. On top of that they even paid money to go see it. I hope you enjoy this Day that the Lord has given us. And think about the people that lost their lives in the past few days. So much evil in the world, And not enough good to overcome it. Please do all the good you can to everyone you can for ever how long you can. And you will be blessed for that.
