Machinist Job Description:

The machinist will use blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) and manufacturing files to produce precision metal parts. The machinist will run the equipment effectively in order to accomplish goals with accuracy while maintaining high levels of production rates.

Machinist Job Responsibilities:

• Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines.
• Review drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
• Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
• Selects appropriate machine and settings for given task.
• Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
• Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
• Maintains inventory of completed products.
• Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
• Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Must be willing to cross train as a machine builder.

Machinist Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
• Solid written and verbal communication.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
• Strong Mathematical Skills
• Manual Machining Background preferred.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Education/Experience:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
• 3-5 years’ experience working with machine tools.

Mechanical Design Engineer Job

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:

● Proven ability to design custom machinery with an emphasis in automation equipment
● Present to customers and team members within the organization
● Effectively communicate with external vendors
● Develop and fully design equipment, layouts, and subassemblies
● Evaluating and identifying improvements to solution designs with specific domain focus on robotics and automation
● Creating new, innovative mechatronic systems
● Developing advanced technology platforms that can be broadly applied
● Documenting detailed product requirements
● Interfacing with entire team to drive new product development programs from concept to production
● Maintaining high-level of effective communications with cross-functional team, and partners 1 Basic Qualifications
● BS in Mechanical Engineering
● 2-5 years Mechanical Engineering field and related experience using SolidWorks, 3D CAD, or Pro-Engineering
● Detailed system modeling experience and demonstrable experience using these models to drive design trades and design requirements
● Broad exposure to mechanical, electrical, firmware and control systems design and development practices including common engineering tools used for such efforts with detailed knowledge and expertise in at least one of the areas
● Deep understanding of the business and end-user needs, and proficiency in translating those needs into the appropriate technology solution
● Resolve complex issues in creative, efficient, and effective ways
● Bring a department and company-wide perspective to detailed technical decisions
