These pictures are of an installation done up the road from one of our jobs. Just a couple things:

When you have a heat pump installed it's important that your condenser (outdoor unit), should be 20-24" off the ground. We don't want the outdoor unit being filled up with dirt, grass, snow, etc.
Also, making sure that someone takes the time to match your home is important for a sleek and aesthetically pleasing look. Even if someone is using plastic duct, there are different colors to choose from.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
Just In Regarding Efficiency Maine Rebates:

Dear heat pump Residential Registered Vendor:
To continue to support the widespread popularity of heat pumps with our limited budgets, we’re reducing rebate amounts by 20% effective 5/1/2021.
As of 5/1/2021, the following heat pump rebates are changing:
• Tier 1 first indoor units are going from $500 to $400
• Tier 1 second indoor units are going from $250 to $200
• Tier 2 first indoor units are going from $1,000 to $800, and
• Tier 2 second indoor units are going from $500 to $400.
In addition, rebates for installations on or after 5/1/2021 must be claimed within 90 days of installation. This is a change from the past 12-month window.
There are no other eligibility changes and low- and moderate-income first-unit heat pump rebate amounts are not impacted.
In order to minimize impact on homeowners who have already received a quote, the following upgrades are grandfathered:
1. Heat pumps installed before 5/1/2021, or
2. Heat pumps quoted prior to 5/1/2021 and installed and claimed by 7/31/21
We know this change may present challenges for you and appreciate your understanding.
