Education is a big part of what we do at mtvSolar! Last week our Field Operations Director Britt Buckham led firefighters with the City of Martinsburg (WV) on a tour of an installation site at Martin Distributing to familiarize them with solar and battery storage equipment. We are excited to be working with public safety agencies to ensure we have shared safety knowledge when it comes to electrical components that are part of a solar panel+battery energy storage system.

What a great conversation about the possibilities of agrivoltaics -- the synergy between solar panels and farms that could change the economics and environmental footprint of agriculture! Thanks to Mobilize Frederick for hosting their movie event at Hood College, and encouraging this discussion in Frederick, Md. and our whole region. Our own Shane LaBrush, Senior PV and battery storage consultant, was able to add his expertise, helping residents and farm owners understand how solar credits, net metering and battery storage are coming together in our industry.
