We would like to recognize the following employees that are celebrating their AHRS Anniversary during the month of September!

Ed Christian is celebrating an incredible 32 years with AHRS! For the majority of his career, Ed has been an integral part of our concrete wall crew, earning a reputation for his strong work ethic, dedication, and commitment to doing the job right. In 2016, Ed stepped into the role of Foreman, where he has continued to lead by example and help keep the crew moving forward. After 32 years, Ed’s knowledge, experience, dependability, and leadership have made a lasting impact on AHRS. We are incredibly grateful for the time, hard work, and dedication he has given to our company over the years.

Jillisa is celebrating an incredible 18 years with AHRS! She joined our team in 2008 as Payroll Manager and over the years also took on the role of HR Manager. Today, Jillisa oversees employee benefits, and payroll while also putting her creative talents to work developing marketing materials, brochures, and project proposals. But Jillisa’s impact goes far beyond the responsibilities of her job title. She consistently goes above and beyond to help our employees—taking the time to make sure we understand our benefits, reaching out to insurance companies on our behalf, and helping navigate questions or issues when they arise. She has even spent time on the phone with a hospital helping work through an employee’s medical bills. She doesn’t do these things because she has to- she does them because she genuinely cares about our employees and wants to help. That willingness to go the extra mile is just one of the many reasons Jillisa is such a valued part of the AHRS team.

Delfino Ardilla is celebrating his 2nd year with AHRS! He spent much of the past year doing carpentry work at the Nemaha Central School project and has more recently joined our metal building crew. Delfino brings a positive attitude to the job and adapts well to whatever task is put in front of him. We’re excited to see all that he’ll accomplish in the years ahead!

Matt Hillyard is also celebrating his 2nd anniversary with AHRS! Matt primarily works alongside our concrete crews on a variety of jobsites, from finishing flatwork to pouring concrete walls. He continues to learn and gain experience in many different areas of the construction industry. We’re proud to have Matt on our team and look forward to seeing his continued growth!

Dylan Harbolt is celebrating his 1st year with AHRS! He primarily works with our metal building crew, bringing his experience and skills to a variety of projects. We’re grateful to have him on the AHRS team and look forward to many more years ahead!

Another Seneca Ballfield Project Update! There’s a LOT happening on the infield this week!

• Dugout concrete has been poured
• Crews are prepping for additional concrete sidewalk pours
• Electrical conduit is fully installed
• Underdrains and gravel are being installed throughout the infield
• Turf is scheduled to arrive next week, with installation set to begin!

If the weather cooperates, there’s even more progress on the way next week. We’re getting closer to seeing this ballfield come together!

Responsibilities Include:
-Overall layout and complete construction and supervision of projects from commencement
-Preparation of schedules and daily planning
-Maintain delivery records and daily job reports
-Maintain quality control of projects
-Lead and coordinate crews to ensure efficient, safe jobsite operations

2️⃣We're seeking a Concrete Pump Operator that values hard work, safety, and reliability. Whether you’re experienced or eager to learn, we’re ready to invest in the right person.
Responsibilities Include:
-Operating a schwing concrete pump
-Having a current cdl class ‘a’ driver’s license
-Being a skilled truck driver
-Having a good understanding of mechanics

3️⃣We're seeking a Superintendent to provide strong leadership and coordination between the Project Manager and on-site workforce, ensuring clear communication, efficient project scheduling, and successful project ex*****on. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively manage day to day field operations while keeping projects on schedule and within established expectations.
Responsibilities Include:
-Daily on-site supervision of AHRS labor force and subcontractor work force
-Coordinate with architects, subcontractors and owners in assistance to the project manager
-Coordinate site testing and inspections for quality control
-Manage progress of the overall and day-to-day construction schedule on site
-Review, prepare and submit necessary documentation-

We would like to recognize the following employees that celebrated their AHRS Anniversary in May!

Lonny Pierce, one of our senior superintendents, first began working for AHRS in 1991. After a brief break in service, he returned to the company in 1996 and has continued building an impressive career ever since. Over the years, Lonny has worked his way up to his current position by consistently taking initiative and learning everything he could along the way. He has played an important role in projects of all shapes and sizes, bringing valuable experience and leadership to each one. Most recently, Lonny completed supervision of the large NVCH addition and remodel project in Seneca, Kansas. He is now leading the Johnson County Community Hospital addition and renovation project in Tecumseh, Nebraska. We appreciate the dedication and expertise he continues to bring to AHRS!

Bryce Bradley began his construction career with AHRS just after graduating from high school in 1988! Over the years, he served as one of our concrete foremen, bringing strong leadership and craftsmanship to countless projects. A few years ago, Bryce stepped away from the foreman role and transitioned into primarily operating a variety of equipment, where his skill and experience continue to make a valuable impact every day. We appreciate all that he does for AHRS!

Jason Deters, our metal building foreman, began his career with AHRS in 1997. Prior to his promotion to Foreman in 2019, he served for many years as a lead man, consistently demonstrating strong leadership and dedication to his work. Jason is a highly dedicated employee with a commitment to quality in everything he does. Over the years, he has played an important role in many different projects, bringing skill, experience, and attention to detail to each one. We truly appreciate Jason’s hard work and know that the projects he leads will continue to exceed expectations!

Dirk deKoning is celebrating 12 years with AHRS! He joined our team with prior experience in carpentry, and over the years, his skillset has continued to grow and expand. You can find Dirk on many of our commercial jobsites taking on a wide variety of tasks, always willing to step in wherever needed. His strong work ethic, versatility, and genuine character make him a valued member of our team. We appreciate Dirk’s dedication and willingness to go the extra mile each and every day!

Emily Pyle is celebrating 7 years with AHRS as Executive Secretary. In her role, she handles a diverse range of responsibilities, including account reconciliation, managing marketing resources, and supporting cross-trained HR functions. You may also spot her out in the field capturing photos of our dedicated crews and completed projects. Her versatility, willingness to help wherever needed, and team-first attitude make her great to work with!

Brendan Cox is celebrating 1 year with AHRS! He also worked with us briefly a few years ago. Brendan is part of the metal building crew. He has become a valued part of our team. We look forward to seeing all he accomplishes in the years ahead!
