One of the USA’s oldest forge and foundry sites still preserved and occasionally active through the National Parks Service.
It should be noted that like many plantations this crucial facility was run by talented slaves. I’ll dive deeper into this history in part two.
Without this facility the United States of America would very likely not have had the means to gain its independence.
