We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join our team in the aerospace sector. As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and quality control within our manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures tailored to aerospace manufacturing, ensuring compliance with AS9100 and other relevant standards.
Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of quality systems and identify areas for improvement while maintaining AS9100 certification.
Manage supplier quality and performance, including conducting supplier audits and ensuring adherence to AS9100 and contractual requirements.
Champion root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to address non-conformances and quality issues in accordance with AS9100 guidelines.
Interface with customers and regulatory authorities on quality matters, including participating in AS9100 audits and inspections.
Thorough understanding of aerospace quality standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, NADCAP).

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled lathe machinist to join our team. As a lathe machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. You will work with a variety of materials, including metal and plastics, and may need to create custom tooling to achieve the desired results.

Responsibilities:

Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine job requirements

Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes

Choose appropriate cutting tools and speeds for each job

Monitor the machining process to ensure parts meet specifications

Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards

Troubleshoot and solve problems as they arise

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles

Familiarity with various types of lathes and cutting tools

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Quality support in AS9100/ISO9001: Ensure ongoing successful compliance regarding ISO9001/AS9100 surveillance and reassessment audits. Evaluate quality process and system standards to ensure compliance with company standards and governmental regulatory requirements. Facilitate DCMA and 3rd Party Registrar audits. Develops, distributes, monitors and validates internal and external issued corrective action requests (CARs). Must be capable of representing our company to auditors and inspectors in person and via telephone when necessary.

Perform inspections of complex, close tolerance machined parts and sub-assemblies with critical internal and external dimensions using all forms of conventional inspection equipment. Inspection scope includes in-process to full first article inspection using established inspection plans. Knowledge of inspection requirements associated with processing and finishing (heat treatment, anodize etc.) required. Inspection of final assembly items to customer/internal source control drawings also required. Must have the ability to understand customer quality control requirements as called out in purchase orders and contracts and use this ability to interface with customer source inspectors and Government Quality Assurance Representatives for customer final inspection.
