We had the pleasure of building a ham radio tower base. 5’x5’x8 feet deep in the ground, and filled it with 34,000 pounds of concrete. We let it cure for 20 days, and today we embarked on a new adventure. We disassembled a 60’ tall radio tower, loaded it on a trailer and transported it to the new location and put it back up. What a neat little project and a new project under our belts.

So I made this post before about this project and I finished it and installed it about a month ago. Well long story short only measuring the job once and it being almost two hours away I had mad a minor mistake. The 3 legs that hold this beautiful piece of art in the air were 6” to short. We set the structure anyway using some wooden blocking to keep it in place. Well today I finally made some time out of our busy and growing schedule to head back up and get the new (longer) legs put under it. Even though it was a somewhat minor mistake, it sure feels nice to have this project %100 complete. The homeowners were very patient and graceful with us on getting it finished. We are super proud of this project, it came out super beautiful. It’s not very often we have small setbacks but even Superman has to take his cape off sometimes.
