This morning we received a call from an HVAC tech that the AC units on the Mirabito gas station in Oxford NY quit working. With this extreme heat, this was an urgent matter. We were able to rearrange things and get a crane up there asap to make sure this was done as quickly as it could be to restore the AC! Incase you’re wondering we have a 24/7 emergency call line to cover any emergencies that may come up!

Two crews, two cranes, going in two different directions this morning!

Our LTM 1040-2.1 went to Port Dickinson to install a new pump at the DEC pump station, while our LTM 1250-5.1 went to set this new 55’ aluminum culvert pipe on Straits corner road in Tioga county!

Sometimes a conflicting schedule will get in the way of us getting to our customers and servicing them at a moments notice, but thankfully our customers work with us and with good communication, we are able to go in seperate directions and get everyone covered!

Who likes to stay dry and out of the weather when filling up there vehicle with fuel? We sure do! Today our LTM 1040-2.1 set red iron for the fuel island canopy at the new Circle K going in on Court street Binghamton NY! From unloading the truck, tripping and setting the columns to setting the rest of all the roof steel, we finished up in less than 6 hours!

While we hope everyone is enjoying their three day weekend, let us never forget the ultimate sacrifices so many men and women have made for this great country in order for us citizens to live in freedom. Freedom has never come, and will never come free of charge, it is paid for by the lives of so many innocent men and women who are more than just military members, they are husbands, wives, fathers, sons, sisters, brothers, and so on. We will never be able to thank you enough for our freedoms. We shall never forget why we have today off!

Underground utilities are something most people don’t think about but as for us, it plays a huge part in our everyday operations. Today we set up our LTM 1250 with 68,300 lbs. of counterweight and reached 115’ to do roof top work on the Canopy by Hilton hotel in downtown Ithaca, and under the parking lot of the hotel was everything from storm water drains, underground electrical, and also an underground tunnel for the city water, we spent a lot of time reading underground utility plans and jockeying the crane around to make sure we set up in a safe place where we aren’t sitting on anything underground and putting huge amounts of bearing pressure on them.

The units on the roof that we worked on were originally set by the tower crane that built the building, and now there is no place to set up a crane other than this tight spot being the only option, we made it work for us, saving the customer and hotel stress and hassle of closing down the road, and ultimately saving them money!
