We have loved meeting students and future professionals at career fairs this fall! Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with our team, learn more about Schoel, or interview with us.

These events are a great opportunity to share what we do, answer questions about career paths, and hear what students hope to pursue after graduation. We enjoyed learning about your interests and sharing how you can grow your career at Schoel.

Thank you to the universities and organizers who make these connections possible. If you are a student and are interested in learning more about the opportunities that Schoel provides, visit https://schoel.com/student-opportunities/ to learn more!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Schoel’s annual Shrimp Boil! We enjoyed catching up with familiar faces, making new connections, and sharing a great meal. The shrimp was good, but the company was even better.

We’re grateful for our clients, partners, and friends who make this gathering something we look forward to each year. A special thank-you to our team for helping bring it all together!

Happy 40th work anniversary to our beloved Joey Breighner, Jr.!

Joey is Schoel's Executive Vice President. For four decades, he has exemplified Schoel’s core values through his integrity, kindness, and dedication. His words and actions reflect the care he brings to his work, his colleagues, and the clients we serve.

Beyond his contributions at Schoel, Joey has served the land surveying profession through leadership roles with the Alabama Society of Professional Land Surveyors and service on Alabama’s Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.

Joey, thank you for 40 years of commitment, leadership, and friendship. We are grateful to celebrate this milestone with you!

Investing in our people strengthens every project we deliver. Recently, Schoel’s emerging project managers participated in a two-day training program led by firm leaders. The sessions covered key areas of the business, equipping our team with the knowledge and tools to manage projects successfully and better serve our clients. We are proud of this group and look forward to the great things they will do!

Schoel has been busy on the course lately! We’ve enjoyed connecting with clients and partners while supporting local organizations through recent golf outings.

COO Jake Bonds hosted a team from TE Stevens Construction at the Birdies for the Bell Center tournament, and Principal Engineer Alex Pattillo hosted a team at the CREDA AL Golf Tournament.

We’re grateful for opportunities to support these organizations, strengthen relationships, and enjoy time on the green with our peers!

Huntsville civil engineer Colby Sims and Principal Engineer David Hall recently visited Auburn University’s ASCE student chapter to present “Civil Engineering: Site Design & Land Development.”

Colby brought the topic to life with actual plans and project documents, giving students an interactive look at the work behind site design and land development. Thank you for sharing your experience and representing Schoel so well!
