The Mobile Section of the Alabama Associated General Contractors hosted its 24th Annual Construction Safety Excellence Awards on April 9, 2026, at the Country Club of Mobile, recognizing member companies that maintained outstanding safety records throughout 2025.

More than 125 industry professionals attended the event, where 32 of the Mobile area’s leading commercial, industrial, and specialty contractors, along with suppliers, were honored for their commitment to safety excellence. Anthony Mitchell, Dunn's Senior Safety Manager, was present to represent Dunn Building Company.

The annual awards program highlights AGC members that have developed and implemented exemplary safety and loss prevention programs. These efforts reflect strong management leadership, comprehensive employee training, and innovative approaches to ensuring safe work environments across the construction industry.

One of our crews recently wrapped up a major phase of work for Borusan Berg Pipe in Panama City. The project features a 26,429-square-foot plant expansion, significant utilities relocation, and the construction of a new locker room facility. As part of this effort, the team successfully completed a large pile cap within a 20-foot-deep shored excavation.

Built to bring their team together under one roof, the new facility provides a modern, centralized workspace designed to support Truckworx’s continued growth and operations.

From early progress to final completion, it’s been exciting to watch this vision take shape. This new headquarters will serve as the home for their corporate team and reflects their commitment to innovation and the future of their organization.

We’re proud to once again partner with Estes Express Lines for the exterior refurbishment and interior renovation for their Decatur location. Our team transformed this facility from the ground up to better support daily operations.

From brand-new concrete at the truck bays and 55-ft truck aprons to new asphalt for the entire site, every detail was built for durability and performance. We added 18 new overhead doors, upgraded existing truck bays, installed a new fuel island, and closed in half the building to expand functionality.

Inside, the office area received a full refresh with new finishes, insulation, ADA-compliant bathrooms, and a new accessible entrance which creates a space that works just as hard as the fleet it supports.

Our leadership team recently convened, and after a strategic planning review, had a bowling match. The leading team celebrated its top scores. While a few strikes sparked some friendly competition, we quickly agreed where our true strengths lie. We’ll stick to being the leading provider of low-rise steel-framed industrial buildings in Alabama and leave the bowling titles to the pros!

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Our Gulf Coast Area Office hosted a festive Mardi Gras Open House before the Polka Dot Parade last night, and it was one for the books!

From beads and masks to king cake and good vibes, we had everything needed to pass a good time! The dots popped, the smiles were big, and the lagniappe of laughter made it a celebration to remember.
