Some say the best days on the job often start before sunrise.

Our Duke Health Cary project team prepared for a concrete pour recently, demonstrating the planning, coordination, and commitment that keep projects moving forward safely and efficiently.

What a beautiful way to start the day!

We were excited to join Universal Health Services, Inc. - UHS this summer to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital expansion in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The single-story, 68,593-square-foot, freestanding behavioral health facility was built on the existing Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital campus and includes 90 beds, 30 of which are for adolescents.

Thank you to everyone who connected with our team at this year's North Carolina Healthcare Engineers Association Annual Conference & Exhibition.

We enjoyed the opportunity to share ideas, discuss the future of healthcare facilities, and hear insights from industry peers.

We'd like to give a special thank you to Senior Preconstruction Manager Taylor Payne for his session on leveraging prefabrication to support active healthcare campuses.

We look forward to see you again next year!

From Harlingen to Edinburg, Robins & Morton has been a trusted construction partner across Texas’ Rio Grande Valley for years. Our work there spans large-scale tower additions, critical infrastructure upgrades, and full construction management services, all delivered inside active hospital environments where communities depend on every square foot.

At Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, our teams have completed multiple projects across campus, including a comprehensive HVAC upgrade in the South Tower, rebuilding the existing heat recovery unit, installing a new outside air makeup unit, and upgrading multiple mechanical systems throughout, all while the hospital remained fully operational. Across the Valley Baptist Health System, we also completed generator replacements, ventilation improvements, and critical electrical systems work to keep these facilities running reliably.

In Edinburg, we delivered a $71 million, 190,701-square-foot, 130-bed patient tower addition and renovation for South Texas Health System, a project completed in an active campus environment with strong local trade partner participation. We also completed a tower addition and interior renovation at Edinburg Regional Medical Center for Universal Health Services, Inc. - UHS.

Each of these projects represents complex work in active facilities.

The Rio Grande Valley deserves healthcare infrastructure built to last, and we’re proud to be part of that story.

Building stronger communities is just as important as building exceptional facilities.

Our AdventHealth Zephyrhills Medical Office Building project team and trade contractor partners raised nearly $3,500 in school supplies for the new school year, providing more than 300 backpacks filled with essential items for children served by Friends of Joshua House Foundation, Inc. The nonprofit provides therapeutic care, academic support, and a family-like environment for children facing trauma.

This incredible effort was made possible through the generosity of our team members, trade partners, and supporters who came together with a shared purpose: helping local students start the school year prepared and confident.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this meaningful initiative. We're proud to support organizations like Friends of Joshua House Foundation, Inc. and make a lasting, positive impact in the communities where we live and work.

Workforce development starts with creating spaces where students can learn, train, and prepare for meaningful careers. We’re proud to be part of that mission in our home state of Alabama.

The Huntsville Business Journal recently spotlighted the critical role community colleges play in preparing North Alabama’s workforce, from healthcare and welding to aerospace and advanced manufacturing: bit.ly/4z0ibdI

As Alabama Community College System Chancellor Jimmy Baker put it: “It’s our job and mission to make sure every area of this state has the resources needed to provide training and support economic development.”

We share that commitment. Robins & Morton served as construction manager for the Calhoun Community College Math and Science Laboratory Building in Huntsville, a 93,500-square-foot instructional facility designed to give students the hands-on learning environments they need to launch careers in high-demand fields. And through our ongoing partnership with the Alabama Community College System, we continue to build the classrooms, labs, and training spaces across the state where that workforce development happens every day.

These buildings are the foundation for the skilled workers who will power Alabama’s economy for generations to come.
