We were honored to join Thornton Construction Company, Inc., Florida International University, FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, and Baptist Health to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new $158 million Helen and Jacob Shaham Academic Medical Center.

The seven-story, 163,000-square-foot facility, slated to open in 2028, will feature academic learning spaces and outpatient multi-specialty services, including same-day surgery and diagnostic imaging. These services will make it easier for the community to access high-quality outpatient care while helping train the next generation of physicians.

We are excited to partner with Stantec as the architect for this project.

We were proud to support the 38th Annual Mid-Winter Ball hosted by Self Regional Healthcare Foundation, all to create a lasting impact for our Greenwood, South Carolina community.

This year’s “Mediterranean Soiree” brought the community together at Lander University’s Joe V. Chandler Center for an evening centered on connection, celebration, and purpose.

Proceeds support the purchase of a 3D mobile mammography vehicle, expanding access to advanced breast imaging and helping drive early detection efforts across the Lakelands. With one in eight women facing a breast cancer diagnosis, initiatives like this are critical to improving outcomes for patients and families in our region.

We are grateful to partner with the foundation to support meaningful investments in community health.

Operations Manager Marshall Scott recently shared his perspective on the biggest challenges shaping healthcare construction in 2026 — and more importantly, how to overcome them.

In his article for Medical Construction & Design, Marshall breaks down four critical factors impacting project success:

• Speed to market amid rising competition and shrinking skilled labor pools
• Integrated preconstruction that saves millions and improves estimate fidelity
• Prefabrication strategies delivering months of schedule savings
• Technology, AI, and robotics transforming jobsite efficiency and real‑time decision‑making

His insights highlight how proactive planning, early engagement, and innovative delivery methods are helping healthcare systems navigate unprecedented complexity.

We’re proud to announce that Edwige Clark, a project director on our Miami-Fort Lauderdale team, has been named chair of the 2026 Broward Hard Hats with Heart campaign! This year-long initiative, in partnership with the American Heart Association, is dedicated to advancing heart health awareness, advocacy, and education for construction professionals across our region.

Edwige will lead the campaign alongside our team members Operations Manager Johnathan Peavy, Division Director of MEP Services Kyle Davis, and Senior Project Manager Robert Creswick, each of whom will serve on the leadership team. Together, they’re working to integrate health, well-being, and prevention solutions into the construction industry’s culture — because people are the foundation of everything we build.

With construction workers facing higher risks for heart disease and stroke, Hard Hats with Heart inspires companies to prioritize employee health through healthy food options, physical activity, stress-reducing programs, and life-saving education like Hands-Only CPR.

Join us in supporting this important cause and showing our workforce that their health and well-being truly come first.
