Weisz & Sons Inc. is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator to join our team. Weisz and Sons Inc. has been in business since 1976 as a general contractor pursuing municipal, civil, commercial highway/heavy projects consisting of earthwork, underground utilities, concrete and demolition work.

Duties include operate and maintain equipment ( Dozer, Excavator, Motorgrader, Scraper and Front End Loaders). Must observe Federal, State and Local rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and follow safety regulations.

• Will be responsible for the safe operating condition of the equipment.

• Must wear a seat belt

• Observe hand signals, grade stakes, and other markings when operating machines so that work can be performed to specifications.

• Perform daily equipment inspections.

• Operate and maneuver equipment equipped with blades in successive passes over working areas to remove topsoil, vegetation, fill dirt and rocks and to distribute the level earth or terrain.

• Perform equipment maintenance.

• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers and falling objects.

Weisz & Sons Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipe Layer to join our team. Weisz and Sons Inc. has been in business since 1976 as a general contractor pursuing municipal, civil, commercial highway/heavy projects consisting of earthwork, site preparation, underground utilities, concrete and demolition work.
The successful candidate will have experience with excavation and underground utilities. Must be highly motivated, organized, adaptable, and able to work successfully in a fast paced environment.

Job requirements include experience installing water, sewer, and storm sewers pipe. Must have a valid drivers license. Wage is negotiable depending on experience.

Duties will include:
• Setup and utilize instruments such as laser and transit levels.
• Install PVC pipe sections and seal joints using cement or glue.
• Understanding and reading underground plans and specifications.
• Understanding grade, slope elevations and operations of grade equipment.
• Assembling and installing water, sewer and storm sewer pipe.
• Setup and utilize trench box/shoring.
• Testing water lines.
• Management of materials that are delivered to the job sites.

Weisz & Sons major projects are directed towards underground utilities such as water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer along with site work development, road building, small structures, concrete work and are very diversified in all forms of building construction. Equipment includes five dozers, three motor-graders, five twin engine scrapers plus all support equipment. Trucks includes six tandem dump trucks and seven semi tractors that are used for local hauling.

Responsibilities:
The position will involve but not limited to the following duties:
• Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on heavy construction equipment and trucks.
• Complete service reports and work with shop foreman on ordering parts timely and accurately.
• Working safely at all times and following required safety protocols.
• Work overtime as workload dictates.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Maintain training requirements for the position.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Trade school with studies related to technical curriculums in heavy equipment and/or trucks.
• Experience and working knowledge of heavy construction equipment and/or trucks. 1 Year (Preferred).
• Ability to assemble and disassemble components.
• Troubleshooting and repair of heavy construction equipment and trucks.
• Physical requirements include the ability to lift a maximum of 70 pounds, ability to stoop, bend, reach, climb and crawl without restrictions.
• Proficient computer skills and understanding service manuals.
• Ability to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle.

Weisz & Sons Inc. is seeking a Concrete Finisher to join our team. Weisz and Sons Inc. has been in business since 1976 as a general contractor pursuing municipal, civil, commercial highway/heavy projects consisting of earthwork, underground utilities, concrete and demolition work.

Responsibilities include Setting and aligning forms, tie rebar, pour and level concrete floors, sidewalks, etc. using a variety of hand and power tools. Position and secure steel rebar in concrete forms in order to reinforce the concrete. Use of a variety of fasteners, rod bending machines, hand tools and power trowels and screeds.

Tasks:
Prep for forming.
Set and align forms. Check concrete forms to see that they are properly constructed.
Cut rebar to required lengths, using bar cutters, hacksaws etc.
Space and fasten together rebar in forms according to plans, using wire and pliers and support with forming chairs.
Signal truck driver to position truck for pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on forms.
Spread, level and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float.
Float finish on wet concrete.
Produce rough concrete surface, using broom.
Cut expansion joints.
Follow proper safety processes and procedures.
