This year, BNI Coal had the privilege of welcoming back Logan Neuberger for his second summer as an engineering Intern!

Logan, a graduate of Beulah High School, is currently entering his junior year at NDSU majoring in Environmental Engineering. After graduation, he hopes to stay in the great state of North Dakota and work in the energy industry.

Logan said he decided to return for a second year because of the people that he works with! His favorite work memory from this summer was when he got stuck with the pick up and had to get pulled out!

Thank you Logan for another summer of dedication and we wish you all the best this coming year at NDSU!

At BNI Coal, we were saddened to hear of David Loer’s passing. Our thoughts are with David’s family and the Minnkota Power employees.

David Wayne Loer, age 81, of East Grand Forks, MN, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2026 at Valley Senior Living in Grand Forks, ND. David Wayne Loer was born on August 17, 1944 in Drayton, North Dakota to Walter and Irene Dawe Loer. He grew up on a farm
