Bismarck Aero Center is a growing aviation company that prides itself on providing premier aviation services in Bismarck, North Dakota and the surrounding region. AMS (Aircraft Management Services) was founded in 1990 by Bob Simmers and specialized in aviation consulting, specialized flight training, aircraft storage and pilot services. In 2002, Bob partnered half of the business with Mike Aarestad to expand the operations to include aircraft maintenance and repair. In addition, we now offer overnight and long term heated hangar, flight instruction, aircraft sales, brokering, and flight department management. Then in 2006, we continuted to diversify our services by forming a subsidary titled Dakota Avionics. We received our Limited Repair Station Certification from the FAA and now offer avionics sales. Our maintenance department is well equipped to handle all aircraft maintenance and avionics needs from stick and fabric to high flying turbine powered and jet aircraft. Our biggest change came in 2008, when we became Bismarck's newest full service FBO! With this came many exciting changes, one being a name change and we became Bismarck Aero Center. We offer JetA and 100LL fuel, pilots lounge, courtesy cars, concierge services, fast turnarounds and other amenities. We still take pride in providing #1 customer service, adding 24/7 certified NATA staff and red carpet service when you visit us!

Bridger is one of our Career Academy students, and on top of keeping up with high school, he has put in the extra time, hard work, and dedication to earn his Private Pilot License. We couldn’t be more proud of him and all he has accomplished!

Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host high school students and young adults at the North Dakota Aviation Association • Fly-ND Career Expo!

We had a great group of schools, local aviation businesses, airport operations, and the National Guard come together to showcase the many different opportunities available in aviation.

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make this day a success! We loved getting to connect with the next generation and hopefully inspire a few future aviators along the way!

Congratulations to Kyle Stevens on passing his CFI checkride this week!

We are so proud of this accomplishment! Kyle came all the way from Oklahoma to finish his CFI, and even with some weather difficulties along the way, he didn’t let that stop him. He persevered, stayed focused, and got it done!

We are so unbelievably proud of Jason Baker for passing his instrument checkride yesterday!

Jason has been so dedicated to studying, flying, and doing everything he can to prepare himself for this accomplishment. He’s also gotten to take some pretty cool cross-country trips along the way!
