Oklahoma sure is getting a good soaking! And while we need the rain, the INSIDE of your house isn't supposed to be getting any! 😳🏠

With all this rain, now's a good time to watch for signs of a roof leak!

Ok, Oklahoma… we’ve officially entered the BEST time of year to actually enjoy the backyard. 🙌🍂 No blazing-hot patio furniture. No mosquitoes carrying you away. 😂 Just cool evenings, football on the TV, something on the grill and a reason to stay outside a little longer.

Change can be hard sometimes, but sometimes it turns out pretty darn good.

We were at the lake this weekend and finally got to meet our new neighbors. The same family had owned the place next to us for years and years, so it was definitely strange seeing someone new over there.

But then we found out they’re a fishing family. 🎣 Alright, I think we’re gonna get along just fine. 😂

We even told them where some of the good crappie spots are around the dock—which may be the official Grand Lake version of a neighborly welcome.

It got me thinking, though. A new family means new memories, new traditions, and maybe even a few changes to make the place their own. That’s one of the things I enjoy about what I do with All Things Exterior—helping people turn the place they have into the place where they really want to spend their time.

And yes, I absolutely work at Grand Lake. Decks, outdoor living spaces, exterior projects… I’m not picky.

In fact, if somebody around Grand needs something done, you should probably call me. Stacie and I clearly need more legitimate business reasons to come back to the lake. 😂🎣

Football season + fall weather = my favorite time of year to have a great outdoor space. 🏈🔥

Cooler evenings, a fire going, the game on, something on the grill and plenty of room for everybody to hang out…that’s exactly what an outdoor living space should be made for.

It’s about to get busy around here! 🔨🏠

I’ve been working with insurance companies on several roofs affected by those late spring and early summer storms, and we’re getting close to seeing some of those projects start coming together.

Insurance claims can take a little time to work through, but I stay involved in the process and follow up to help keep things moving. Now we’re about to start rocking and rolling on some roofs — and I’ve got room to add a few more to the schedule.

If your roof took a beating this storm season, you’ve noticed something that doesn’t look right, or your roof is simply getting some age on it, give me a call or text. I provide FREE roof estimates and I’m happy to come take a look.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families whose lives were forever changed, and the first responders, service members, and everyday Americans who showed extraordinary courage in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We are proud to be Americans, grateful for the freedoms we are blessed with, and thankful for those who have sacrificed to protect them.

⛈️ Storm Damage in Inola & Jay Area ⛈️

Those pop-up storms over the weekend packed a punch in parts of Northeast Oklahoma. We’ve seen photos coming out of the Inola and Jay areas showing some pretty significant roof damage — including holes in roofs.

If your home was in the path of one of these storms, now is a good time to take a look around your property. Missing or lifted shingles, damaged metal, dents, debris damage, or signs of water inside can all be reasons to have your roof checked.

And remember — not all storm damage is obvious from the ground.

Long weekend mode: ON. 🇺🇸

Labor Day weekend is a good reminder that sometimes the best part of home is what’s outside of it.

Whether it’s sitting by the lake, firing up the grill, watching football with friends, or just having a place to kick back at the end of the day—that’s what outdoor living is all about.
