This week’s National Safety Month theme—Promoting Holistic Worker Health—highlights the importance of supporting total worker wellbeing. We know that a strong safety culture starts with healthy people; that's why Loenbro is committed to supporting the mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing of our employees through resources like our free, confidential Employee Assistance Program, which provides counseling, coaching, work-life support, wellness challenges, wellbeing resources, and more for employees and their families. Employees also have access to Loenbro’s Chaplain Program—where a team of chaplains visit our offices and job sites to offer support & encouragement to our valued employees…right where they work.

When we take care of ourselves and each other, we build a safer, stronger workplace for everyone. To learn more about working at Loenbro, please visit loenbro.com (Careers).

In recent weeks, Loenbro has been actively rolling out the 'Managing Electrical Hazards' training as part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our teams safe. This training, designed for our qualified electrical workers across both field and office roles, is based on the NCCER nationally recognized curriculum and incorporates the latest NFPA 70E standards. By equipping our workforce with up-to-date knowledge and best practices, we are ensuring our teams are prepared to work safely in fast-paced environments. This initiative will continue to move through additional regions throughout the year and into next.

Recent trainings have taken place in California, New Mexico, Nevada, and Iowa, with approximately 50 team members completing the program so far. The sessions were led by instructors Val S. and Dale T., whose expertise helped make each training a success.

We’d also like to thank everyone who participated and supported these efforts behind the scenes. We’re proud of everyone involved and look forward to continuing to build safer work sites across all of our regions!

Loenbro’s team was proud to recently complete our 18-month WM Denver East Recycling Facility project with ET Environmental (General Contractor) in Aurora, Colorado!

Loenbro provided electrical contracting services on this project which started with the Hauling Building—a facility servicing the WM dispatch/hauling fleet in the area; the building contains explosion-proof culling, a gas detection panel, and several transformers. We next helped build the CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) fueling station which is located in a lot adjacent to the Hauling Building and can accommodate dozens of vehicles at a time.

The Recycling facility itself processes more than 400,000 lbs. of recyclable materials per day and supports a wide swath of the Denver metro area; the machinery inside the building sorts, recycles and then bales recycled material for resale to local manufacturers.

A special thanks to Jim Heckman, Loenbro Superintendent, for taking us on a tour of the facility—and a shout-out to the entire team for finishing this amazing project, strong!

Every day, more than 1,000 Loenbro vehicles travel highways, city streets, and jobsite access roads across the country. With that responsibility comes a commitment to protecting not only our employees, but everyone who shares the road.

That's why we continue to invest in our fleet safety program through driver training, vehicle inspections, coaching, telematics, and strong fleet leadership. Our Loenbro National Fleet Manager further strengthens our focus on reducing risk, improving fleet performance, and supporting safe driving behaviors across our operations.

During National Safety Month, we know that every safe mile starts with the choices we make behind the wheel. Together, we can help make our roads safer for everyone.

Last month, Loenbro was proud to sponsor and attend the Chanda Center for Health’s Annual Fundraising Gala at ReelWorks Denver! The Chanda Center for Health is dedicated to helping individuals with long-term physical disabilities access the services they need to improve their overall health and quality of life.

The evening brought together community members, partners, and supporters to celebrate the Chanda Foundation and the positive impact it has made on many individuals in our community. Thanks to the generosity of supporters, this year’s event raised over $300,000 to help expand critical programs and services for the people they serve.

We greatly appreciate the Chanda Center for Health for the incredible work they do every day to support and uplift members of the community—and are proud to support their efforts to make a meaningful difference!

The rise of artificial intelligence (AI) is powering a surge in data center construction nationwide. Over the last decade, data center load growth has tripled, and by 2028, it could double or triple again, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.

As electrical contractors help to power the rapidly growing mission-critical market, they are embracing challenges and new technologies along the way in order to help clients rapidly scale their infrastructure while achieving greater sustainability and saving energy during both construction and operation.

Read more in this EC&M article about how data centers and their builders are adapting their practices around evolving requirements—with key thoughts from Loenbro’s Miguel Garcia, Senior VP of Mission Critical Services.
