🎃 Decorating for Halloween? Your roof might be paying the price.

A lot of the small leaks we find in the fall start with a decoration. Here's what to watch for:

✅ Skip staples, nails, and screws. Every one is a hole in your shingles.
✅ Use clips made for lights instead of piercing anything.
✅ Keep props light and out of the valleys, where water flows.
✅ Hang gutter decorations with gutter clips, and don't weigh them down.
✅ Anchor inflatables to the ground, never the roof.
✅ Take it all down by early November, before the first freeze.

The tricky part is that these leaks are slow. A tiny puncture can sit there quietly until winter freeze-thaw widens it.
