Why is it so hard to automate poultry depositing?

Well, chicken is wet, irregular, slippery, and often comes in whole-muscle pieces. That makes things complicated for equipment that isn’t purpose-built for the task.

The biggest challenge is getting the chicken into the pouch cleanly and consistently, without causing wet seals, leaks, or extra rework. That’s why poultry processors should consider more than just speed when comparing equipment.
