Racing a vintage 1-1600 Funco lately.. More fun and cheaper than Drag Racing... I haven't raced for 18years. Just like this buggy.. Bought it for parts and won 5 out of 6 races in stock/stock class and one 2nd place finish because I tried something different on the steering that didn't work...

After 5 years of bad luck w back injuries, covid, financial problems, ambition/motivation problems and focusing on Rebuilding Everything, I have a racing program again, 2 old cars that are just a few days from racing, 2 cars that are in mid-build and slated for completion for the 2025 season... Gonna be an interesting year seeing if I still "Got it" .. Hitting both Dirt/Short Course and Drag/Drive events.. Digging out the old engine dyno (Megatech) and getting the machine/weld shop back up and running over the next few months.. I had multiple world records for at least 9 out of 10 years and was always a top contender.. I know I'm going to start at the bottom and work hard to get anywhere near where I was.. I'm 46 now and haven't raced since April 24th 2019 when I ran 2 world record pases back to back and two in the top 6 at the time. On that day I had 8 out of the 10 quickest passes w an ABA.. The following weekend I drove the car 1000 miles on a vacation trip to Virginia.. Two days after returning I couldn't walk or stand more than 20 seconds. It took 2 months to make it to stand over 1 minute.. I had a lot of time to think.. Not always a good thing.. But hopefully I can get back to doing what I've enjoyed for 34 years..

Trying to get this fired up tonight.. Taking longer than I hoped to swap back from EFI to a Carburetor .. But it's been a while since a played with these...

Too busy working to post much.. Currently 2 months behind schedule so no reason to look for more work... Hopefully we can get the manpower up to speed and parts orders coming in.. Took over 1 month to get a single HPMX-44 Carb.. 😑

Another one out the door...Hopefully next weekend I can get my 56 back in to finish more Sheetmetal work... Lacking parts and materials for a couple projects because of the Pandemic. But we will survive..

Boom.. Quickest 8v ABA in the Northern Hemisphere. 😎. Second Quickest in The World. Fastest/Quickest ABA Street Car in The World. And it's not even on Kill. Tires and fuel are over 2 years old.. lol..
