Providing General Contracting, Construction Management, and Design Build services since 1965. PDS Engineering & Construction, Inc.

was established in September 1965 under the name Pre-Designed Structures, as a construction steel supplier and general construction company. Its founder, Guy Jodice, was an earlier adopter of technology. He saw the opportunity to serve its industrial and commercial customers by offering construction solutions through the developing pre-engineered building products market. PDS serves its clients in the role of General Contractor, Design/Build Contractor, Construction Manager or Project Consultant. PDS is one of the few general contractors in the area that can comfortably perform in both the Design/Build and Bid/Build markets. Its ability to move between these two markets allows PDS to bring the sophistication and capabilities of a large project GC to its small business customers.

From steel frame to first day of business — Murphy’s Heating & Cooling’s new facility is officially complete!

PDS is proud to celebrate the completion of this 9,600-square-foot, two-story facility in New Milford, CT, built to support Murphy’s continued growth in the HVAC industry.

The new metal building features office space, a mezzanine, a welcoming reception and customer waiting area, training/meeting space, and a large shop area designed around Murphy’s day-to-day operations.

It’s especially rewarding to look back at where this project started and now see the Murphy’s team officially working out of their new home.

Congratulations to everyone at Murphy Heating & Cooling on their first day of business in the new facility!

Progress is taking shape in Shelton, CT!

This Pre-Engineered Metal Building is currently being erected for ANCO Engineering, Inc. Once complete, the 46,000 square foot addition will provide expanded shop capabilities along with office space, bathrooms, four overhead doors, and a building height of approximately 38 feet.

We’re excited to see the frame coming together and another project moving closer to completion.

Construction is underway on a new 10,500-square-foot, two-story facility for Hugh’s Mechanical in Somers, Connecticut.

Designed to support Hugh’s Mechanical’s growing operations, the new building will feature seven overhead doors, dedicated office space, a mezzanine, and additional functional areas tailored to the company’s needs.

For more than 25 years, Hugh’s Mechanical has served industrial, commercial, and residential clients throughout New England, specializing in fuel tank monitoring and testing services for the petroleum industry.

PDS is proud to be part of this project and looks forward to bringing Hugh’s Mechanical’s new facility to life.

PDS Engineering & Construction is proud to break ground on an exciting expansion for Ramar-Hall, Inc. in Middlefield, Connecticut!
The project includes three additions to Ramar-Hall’s existing facility, totaling approximately 15,000 square feet of new manufacturing space. This expansion will help increase production capacity, support continued growth, and strengthen Ramar-Hall’s role in Connecticut’s aerospace and defense manufacturing industry.

Founded in 1956, Ramar-Hall has built a strong reputation for precision machining and assembly of components for both military and commercial aerospace applications. We’re excited to help write the next chapter of that history.

We were also honored to have Connecticut Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz join Ramar-Hall, PDS, project partners, employees, and members of the community to celebrate this important milestone.

Congratulations to the entire Ramar-Hall team. We look forward to bringing these additions to life!

Another major milestone on site!

We recently completed our second major concrete floor pour for this 70,000-square-foot structural steel addition for Allied Printing Services. Designed to expand production operations, this 30-foot-tall structure features warehouse space, two overhead doors, heavy-duty structural steel, and energy-efficient insulated metal panels.

Great work by our field crews keeping this build running smoothly from the ground up.

Exciting news—work has officially begun on a new 12,000 sq. ft. pre-engineered metal building for Nitro! 🚛💨

This modern facility is purpose-built for commercial fleet repair and maintenance (servicing Amazon delivery trucks), complete with multi-bay service areas, 4 overhead doors, an on-site natural gas fueling station, an outdoor wash bay, and dedicated staging parking.

Follow along as we take this project from the ground up! 🏗️

Huge News! PDS Engineering & Construction has recieved national recognition in Metal Construction News!

We’re honored to receive the 2026 MBCEA Award of Excellence for our work on the new Mitchell Subaru dealership in Canton, CT! Out of entries across the country, this project stood out for its design complexity, modern aesthetics, and green building innovations.

As the general contractor, we constructed this 32,000 square foot facility to support Mitchell Subaru’s growing operations. The building features a two-story vaulted showroom, 14 service bays & indoor vehicle drop off, recycled water car wash, rooftop roles panels, and sustainable materials earning Subaru Eco-Friendly Dealer Certification! ☀️🌷

Construction is moving right along at Liam's Landing 18,000 square foot apartment building in Plainville! This 3 story residential structure is made up of wood framing, vinyl siding, andersen windows, shingle roof, interior finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. 👌🛠

New siding job at Camm Metals in East Windsor came out looking sharp by our field crew: Scott, Shawn, Tommy, Richie and Mark! The project entailed removing and installing 11,000 square feet of new metal siding and trim. CAMM Metals, Inc. 👊🛠️
