Founded in 1949 and based in Bloomington, Indiana, Hoosier Energy is a generation and transmission electric cooperative providing wholesale power and services to member distribution cooperatives. Our portfolio includes coal, natural gas and renewable energy resources that deliver power through a nearly 1,700-mile transmission network. Our mission is to provide members with assured, reliable and competitively priced energy and services in a safe and environmentally acceptable manner. We demonstrate our commitment to that mission through our actions and results. By 2025, we project at least 10% of our power generation will come from renewable energy. Our electric cooperative members serve more than 300,000 residents and businesses throughout central and southern Indiana and southeastern Illinois. Hoosier Energy is the 12th largest generation and transmission electric cooperative in the U.S.
