We're proud to announce that Andrew Kamm has been named President of Catalyst Construction.

Andrew has been a driving force within our organization for years, and his promotion marks an exciting new chapter for the company. As Andrew shared, "Our focus is simple. We want to be a trusted partner and the community builder of choice in the places we serve.”

While this marks the start of a new chapter, what's set Catalyst apart hasn't changed. The same commitment to quality craftsmanship, care for our clients, and passion for building up the communities we call home will always stay central to what we do.

We take seriously how we keep our job sites. A clean, organized site with tools in their place and debris managed properly reflects how we think, how we operate, and what we value as an organization.

When a site is maintained well, our teams work differently. They take pride in what they're building, safety improves because people are paying attention, and quality goes up because the standards are visible in everything around them. Clients and community members notice it too when they see a well-maintained site and understand that we care about the details that matter.

The flip side is real as well. When we let small things slide, when debris starts collecting or standards start loosening, the message spreads. Our teams start asking themselves if those standards actually matter, and that's when bigger problems start to compound.

We're always working toward getting this right. It's not something we've perfected, but it's a way of working that we're committed to.

We were honored to hear from Sheahon Zenger of Illinois Wesleyan University, Dr. Aondover Tarhule of Illinois State University, and Dr. Keith Cornille of Heartland Community College at this month's Bloomington-Normal Young Professionals event.

Our own VP of Business Development Robbie Osenga had the privilege of facilitating the conversation. In his words, "I've thoroughly enjoyed working alongside these 3 gentlemen as we advocate for a brighter Bloomington-Normal. Their insights and their bold decisions to invest in programs that meet community needs and attract students are admirable."

Few things beat the first warm stretch of the year. The patios fill up, the sidewalks come alive, and our community has so many incredible spots to enjoy it all.

Grab lunch at CoreLife Eatery Normal, post up on the patio at Kemp's Upper Tap , settle in for dinner at DESTIHL Restaurant, wander the shops at The Foundry, or start your morning with a coffee at The Eastside Blono and Crafted Coffee & Wine. Every one of them makes our community a better place to live, work, and gather.

We're especially lucky to call these places our neighbors, and even luckier that we got to play a small part in bringing some of them to life.

Last weekend, our friends at Encounter Ministries gathered for their Spring Banquet and got their first look inside the new building taking shape. What a milestone moment for a ministry that's been serving the community for 59 years!

After celebrating a year of growth and impact, supporters had the chance to walk through the building that will soon open its doors to students.

We're honored to play a part in bringing this vision to life for Encounter Ministries, the community that has stood behind it, and everyone they will serve in the years ahead.

A lot can change in 100 years.

Over the course of a century, the building at the corner of Grove and Prairie streets in downtown Bloomington has been home to a car dealership, the Clay Dooley service center, a storage warehouse, and a variety of businesses in between. Each chapter added something to the story of this building and the neighborhood around it.

Working alongside Workbench, we wanted to honor and continue this building's rich history. The original vintage exterior was preserved while the interior was reimagined as a space for modern work and community connection.

Today, Grove + Prairie is home to several businesses, including our own, and continues a legacy of serving the people and city around it.
