Day 2 at IMTS International Manufacturing Technology Show is officially in the books.

Plenty of conversations, plenty of parts made, and plenty of people stopping to see what these “boring” little machines can actually do.

At the APSX, LLC. booth #338373, the APSX-PIM has been running live injection molding demos throughout the show — repeating the same cycle, making real parts, and proving that injection molding doesn’t always need a massive machine or a massive footprint.

Meanwhile, over at the Kennametal Inc booth #431800, the APSX-NANO has been running live Swiss CNC demos and showing what compact precision machining can look like on a desktop.

Short shot? Flash? Sink marks?

Injection molding troubleshooting becomes much easier when you stop changing everything at once.

In this new APSX video, we walk through a practical troubleshooting approach using the APSX-PIM V3, including how changes in:

Temperature → Pressure → Shot Size → Packing → Cooling → Part Geometry

can affect the final molded part.

We also look at common issues such as incomplete filling, excess material/flash and sink marks—and the process adjustments that can help correct them.

The objective is simple: change one variable, evaluate the result, and build a repeatable molding process.

APSX-PIM was recently featured in Plastics Today for its role in helping Cherry Creek Innovation Campus bring real injection molding training into a high school manufacturing program.

Students are using compact APSX-PIM machines to learn the fundamentals of plastic injection molding, mold setup, material behavior, process control, part quality, and hands-on manufacturing workflow.

This is exactly why APSX, LLC.'s APSX-PIM is a strong fit for technical education programs: it gives students access to real molded plastic part production without the cost, footprint, and complexity of a full-size industrial molding machine.
