👷 Team Spotlight: Cody Cruze
What’s your role at Fraser Construction, and how long have you been with the team?
I was recently promoted to superintendent. I originally joined Fraser Construction in 2015 as a finish carpenter, and I’ve been grateful for the opportunity to grow with the company over the years.
What’s a project you’re especially proud to have worked on, and why?
One project that really stands out to me is First Scott’s Church on Lady’s Island. We completed all of the trim work, doors, and hardware entirely in-house, and it turned out looking really good. It was rewarding to see that level of craftsmanship come together.
What does a typical day on the job look like for you?
These days, my main tool is a cellphone instead of a screw gun. I spend most of my time coordinating with subcontractors and documenting daily work on-site. I’m also training our new carpenter, Myron, and I’ve really enjoyed sharing my skill set and experience with him.
Why is working with a strong team important to you?
Working with a strong team is important to me because it makes us more well-rounded as a company. When everyone brings different expertise to the table, it strengthens the work we do and the projects we deliver.
