The laser experiment continues. Today's topic - deep engraving aluminum. A bit of trial and error but eventually harnessed the power of concentrated light. 💡😁

Hello Facebook friends and followers! You may have seen that we recently acquired a 30w fiber laser and will be offering laser engraving services in the near future.

The laser is up and running and the learning curve has started. Here are a few early examples of some test runs. Keep in mind that these are all very much practice runs and not intended for public consumption (yet) 😉

One of the techniques that I was most eager to try was removing a layer of black Cerakote to reveal a colored layer underneath. So far it seems to be working. This style of laser etched Cerakote has great potential for detailed graphics without actually permanently engraving into the steel or aluminum etc.

Of course we'll also be offering deep engraving for NFA items and 80% lowers as requested.

We also have a rotary attachment, still yet to be tested, for engraving cylindrical objects like tumblers or suppressors.

Moving forward, things like names, unit patches, logos, script text, etc will all be possible.

It took a few years, but fiber lasers are finally "economically viable" for small boutique shops like ours. 😎
It will still be a couple of weeks until we're up and running, but it's in process. Stay tuned. ⚡ ⚡
