👏 Congratulations, Austin! 👏

Oahe Electric is proud to celebrate Journeyman Lineman Austin Bergeson on his four-year anniversary with us!

Before joining Oahe Electric, Austin brought valuable experience from Boldt Powerline Construction, East River Electric Power Cooperative, and his service as a High Voltage Electrician with the Army Corps of Engineers.

We’re grateful for Austin’s skills, dedication, and commitment to serving our members. Congratulations, Austin—and thank you for all you do for your cooperative!

Got pop tabs? We’ll take ’em!

Just a quick reminder (or maybe your first notice!) that we’re collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. Every little tab adds up, so start saving those cans! 😊

We’ll be collecting through the end of September, and you can bring your tabs to our Annual Meeting on September 19:

📍 The Larkspur — 1908 N. Garfield Ave., Pierre
🍽️ Registration & roast beef dinner — 5:00 PM
🗣️ Meeting — 6:30 PM

Can’t make it to the meeting? That’s okay! Just drop your pop tabs off at the office anytime before the end of the month.

And check out the new collection made by longtime member Gary Anderson and painted by Victoria Kinkler! Didn't it turn out SO good??

Thanks to everyone who has already been saving them, and if you haven’t started yet… there’s still time! 😉

Storms can happen any time of year, and the best time to prepare is before severe weather is in the forecast. As we recognize National Preparedness Month, take a few minutes this week to build or refresh your emergency kit. Include essentials like bottled water, nonperishable food, flashlights, extra batteries, a first-aid kit, medications, phone chargers and important documents.

📚 Help Us Keep Our Lending Library Full! 📚

Did you know Oahe Electric has a lending library right in our entryway? And the best part—it’s open to the public 24/7/365! 📖

Our little library is a place where anyone can stop by, browse the shelves, and take a book to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a new story for the kids, a good mystery, a romance, or something interesting to read yourself, there’s always something to discover!

Right now, our shelves are looking a little bare, and we’re looking for donations of gently used books for both children and adults to help replenish our collection.

If you have books at home that you’ve finished reading and think someone else might enjoy, we’d love to give them a new home! ❤️ Simply bring them to the Oahe Electric office and drop them off in our entryway.

Thank you for helping us keep this little community resource stocked and ready for the next reader! 📚⚡

One book can be the beginning of a great adventure. ❤️
