A recent The Boerne Star article highlights what groundwater experts call a "green drought," when landscapes appear healthy, but groundwater levels remain below normal. The takeaway? Water-wise landscaping, native plants, and reclaimed water use can help protect our groundwater resources and strengthen the region's resilience during dry periods. As part of our work across the Hill Country, Westward understands the importance of protecting groundwater resources through thoughtful planning.

Did you know that all wells drawing from the Edwards Aquifer must be registered, permitted, and maintained in good working order? This applies to domestic, livestock, and industrial uses alike. Keeping up with the associated requirements can be complex as regulations evolve, and operations change over time. Westward helps clients proactively manage these obligations, from initial registration and permitting to ongoing maintenance and documentation. Our goal is to simplify the process so clients can focus on their operations while staying on the right side of regulatory requirements.

Nothing beats a day in the field. Take a look at well jetting in action from one of our recent job sites. This powerful well development and rehabilitation technique uses high-pressure water and compressed air to break up sediment and buildup around the well screen, helping restore groundwater flow, improve efficiency, and return wells to peak performance.
