Extremely hot weather might force you to overrun your ACs. Be careful! Forcing your AC to catch up with outside heat will cause the break down. Minimize the heat absorbance in your home closing the windows tightly, closing the blinds, making sure doors are properly sealed and temps inside are 70-71 degrees. Yes, many enjoy much less below 70°, but your AC will thank you for 70°, and you won't face extra expenses.
Take care everyone. 🥰

Just a few words :
In this heat ACs will break down easily. Unfortunately, it's possible for your air conditioner to become overworked, and actually restrict the airflow to your home. As toasty as it may be outside, your air conditioner can actually become frozen. If this has happened to your air conditioner, don't panic. An improperly sized air conditioner will work too hard and too long as it attempts to cool the space. This will cause it to develop premature wear and damage that often leads to the failure of internal parts.Prevent AC overwork :

Keep Direct Sunlight Out. ...

Plant Shrubbery to Promote Shade.
If your air conditioner is running, but not lowering temperatures inside, one issue could be a blocked or clogged condenser coil. When operating correctly, the condenser fan draws air into the outdoor unit through the condenser coil to pull heat energy out of your home.
If AC is not cooling: If your air conditioner will turn on, and your thermostat is set properly, but your system is not cooling you may have a dirty or blocked air condenser. Your first step is to check the outside unit and clean around and remove any debris or weeds that are blocking air circulation.
What causes an AC compressor to stop working? Dirty condenser coils. Blocked suction lines. Low refrigerant charge. Incorrect suction line size.
If the filter is very dirty, you may even feel warm air coming out of the back of the unit. A clogged filter forces the air conditioner to work harder to keep the house cool. This will lead to more frequent AC repairs and, ultimately, shorten the lifespan of the unit.

LEARN ABOUT YOUR AC BEFORE YOU CALL FOR HVAC
If you hear a rattling noise coming from your condenser unit when the fan turns on, your AC fan motor is likely acting up. A loud AC fan motor that is humming or buzzing can indicate malfunctioning motor blades. If your air conditioner is working but cuts out periodically, it may be due to an overheated motor.
If your ac is still not cooling there is one more thing you need to do. This is very important.
Some of the signs of a bad A/C compressor are as follows.
A Lack of Hot Air Being Released Outside. ...
Loud or Strange Noises From the Unit. ...
Failure of the Compressor to Turn On. ...
Circuit Breaker Tripping. ...
Leaks Around the Air Conditioning Unit. ...
Warm Air Instead of Cool Air Being Delivered to the House. ...
Reduced Airflow.
A defective blower motor will make a continuous sound noticeable by the passengers in the vehicle. It can manifest as a knocking, whirring, clunking, vibrating, squealing, or whining noise that persists until the blower motor is replaced.
Frozen AC:
Air conditioners are designed to function in a specific temperature range. If you are running your air conditioner when the outside air is below 62 degrees, then the pressure inside of your system will drop and this can cause your air conditioner to freeze up.
Average cost of replacing blower motor :

Replacing a blower motor costs $450 on average with a typical range of $250 to $800. With a warranty, you might pay as little as $150 for labor alone. For high-end models, like those with large motors or access issues, you might pay as much as $2,000.
Hope these tips helped. Remember, chose smartly who will service your system. The best work is the one you don't need to call back on it. Enjoy in your summer. 🥰

WARNING. ⚠️

As I mentioned many times before, looking for great service isn't easy, and many negative reviews business owners will delete which is rightful and their choice.
Do NOT jump into first click or accept after-hours services unless it's really big emergency. Usually those services, especially when it's way too hot or too cold outside, are piling on service guys and they don't have enough parts with them. Very often they have to substitute, but price you pay will still be really high. Also, lack of enough time to spend only on your call will cause in most cases call backs caused by quick services.
Be kind and understandable of service jobs as well. It's not easy to handle 5 or 8 calls to satisfy everyone and especially if it's after 10 P. M and your situation isn't emergency please wait till morning. Calling techs just to ask a question will add to their already busy schedules and won't allow them any rest through the night. Always think "what if someone calls me at midnight to discuss matter it can wait? ".
The most importantly, please remember, one good service is much better than 10 call backs.
Be smart, choose with patience because if your A/C or furnace is down hurrying and jumping ahead won't necessarily make you 100% satisfied and money is gone.
Enjoy your summer.

IMPORTANT RULES ON THIS 🔥

Do NOT force your A/Cs to cool below 73°. Be patient. Less your A/C has to push to keep cold air is less chances to "die" doing it. Golden rule: better some cold air in your home than none!
Make sure to keep doors and windows firmly closed without gaps.
You can afford lower temps in your home after 8 P. M when it will be easier for your A/C to maintain desired temps (72 or 71)
Forget about those miraculous 68° if you don't wanna extra expenses out of pocket.
Take showers with luke water if you feel too hot.
If you really don't have to leave the home then stay in, be safe.
Good luck everyone. 🥰

IMPORTANT TIPS TO:
HOW TO AVOID THE BIGGEST MISTAKES IN NEED OF SERVICE

I always measure twice before cutting once, but not everyone will choose that option. Let's see what is crucial in making big decision to spend thousands of hardly made money or save some even more than half of it.
The first thing it comes to our mind is"OMG, it's below zero and my furnace died, or it's melting outside, my A/C went down, we'll be roasted! "
We all know that such repairs and similar for our homes are very costly especially when we are tight on budget. Here are some tips that might help everyone to save some money and have a comfort in their home.
1) During the time when your systems are both working don't wait for ER situation, go and buy some cheap fans or heaters and store them. I usually buy fans during the winter time cause their prices are much lower than during the summer's heat. Same for heaters, buy them in summer's seasons. That way, if your furnace or A/C goes down you won't panic and make quick decisions. Using those emergency heaters or fans for a few days won't cost you much and it will save you big greens. :)
2) Take your time in deciding what company will do the best and provide you with 100% satisfaction. You won't run to dial first one open because they are with reason open 24 hours. After-hours fees usually apply and many will put you in the corner once you call them. They will remove the after-hours fees if you accept their service. Now, think about it. You won't buy the first house you see when looking for home, right? You need more and you wanna make sure there are no after purchase expenses fixing this or that. The same thing is with choosing every service in your home. If technicians will be back and back several times to work on the same issue than it's a stress, trouble and your valuable time on the table. So, choose smartly.
3) Once you pick at least two companies compare their diagnoses because the second opinion is in most cases free. Well, don't panic if the first one tells you that diagnostic fee can be removed only while they are in your home. It's sales tactic and trust me, you'll get that fee removed if you call them after you hear the second opinion and if you decide to go with the first choice. In every business, making new customer is more valuable than that one time fee. Remember, they will have you on the long run and why not to remove $90 fee?
4) DO NOT base your opinion on reviews. All business can and will remove bad reviews , especially those where customers or potential customers are talking about poor service or prices.
5) Be wise, ask questions over the phone and request as many information as you can. Their front desk service might try to avoid answers , but there are always some leading members of the team available. No office will have all managers out on the field constantly.
6) Don't take promises or advertising as granted, money is in the game so what's red might become blue very easily.
7) Big companies are big with reason. More technicians will be available, also sometimes better benefits to fit your needs and budgets.
8) Once you choose who will come to your home observe and listen. Again, making you to believe that you NEED it is the goal. You should know what and when you need something, either it's a new system or a new part.
9) DO NOT rush in signing contracts. Once you are in you are in. Always find 10 or 15 minutes to check benefits and prices with more than one company. It's your money, your home and your family. Make sure you don't loose the money or time down the road. A year or two under the contract will lock you in with or without satisfaction.
10) The most important part, ALWAYS check online shops, like Amazon or similar if you need new water heater. You will be surprised how much money, even thousands, you can save buying tankless water heater directly from factory distributor. The cost of installation will still be much less then purchasing through the company, but you must always ask or check for warranty prior any purchase. It might be costly to buy from company directly but there is a piece of mind knowing that they will provide warranty on their work. If you chose to go that way then again, check several companies for:
monthly payments, benefits and interest rate before you hop in with decision.
Now you see why having emergency heaters or fans will help you even though many will say "Naaah, I don't know when and will my A/C or furnace will go down, don't wanna store extra stuff in my storage, house or garage." Yes, that's correct, you DON'T know and what if it happens when you are low on the money or having hard times? It's like having candles, food and drinks always in stock in case of something. Hopefully, these tips were helpful.
Enjoy your summer and be happy. 🥰
