If you want your fence to outlast your neighbors, call Sovine Construction. 💪

We recently completed a full outdoor project featuring 242 feet of durable fencing built with 6x6 CCA-treated posts set 3 feet in the ground for maximum strength. We used 16-foot 2x4s secured with 5 1/2” structural screws and finished it off with dog gear fencing installed with screws for long-lasting performance.

This project also included installing both a 4-foot and 10-foot aluminum gate, along with a custom 5’ x 9’ covered trash can enclosure built to match the fence perfectly.

In addition to the fencing, we poured a 20’ x 20’ slab and a 12’ x 25’ boat slab, both reinforced with wire mesh and finished with 8-inch turned-down edges for added durability. To top it all off, we assembled a gazebo provided by the client to complete the outdoor space.

Another project completed! 🛠️

Sovine Construction recently wrapped up a commercial bathroom remodel in Orange Beach, Alabama. The project began with a full gut for mold remediation, followed by relocating the entrance doorway 8 feet back to improve flow and accessibility.

We redesigned the layout with new walls to create a more seamless space and added a larger storage room. Upgrades included new drywall, tile, drop ceiling, vanity countertops with sinks, flush valve toilets, fixtures, and mirrors.

We also installed a new water heater, updated water lines for the flush valve system, and added new electrical for lighting and extra outlets—bringing both function and a clean, modern finish to the space.

We’re proud to showcase one of our latest builds right here in Atmore, Alabama — designed for durability, comfort, and long-lasting value!

This project included a 15’ x 30’ covered porch built to stand the test of time 💪
✔️ Constructed with 6x6 CCA treated poles
✔️ Treated 2x12 floor system for strong structural support
✔️ Finished with treated 5/4 deck boards
✔️ Concrete steps for easy access

To elevate the look and comfort, we installed:
✨ T1-11 ceiling
✨ Oscillating fans to keep it cool
✨ Recessed lighting for a clean, modern feel

The roof was completed with black Tuff-Rib metal panels, giving it a sleek finish while providing maximum protection from the elements ☀️🌧️

🏡 From Deck to Dream Addition – Another Project Complete in Fairhope!

We just wrapped up a 600 sq. ft. custom home addition in Fairhope, Alabama, and we couldn’t be more proud of how seamlessly it turned out. This project transformed an existing deck into a beautiful, fully integrated living space designed to look like it’s always been part of the home.

🔨 Project Highlights:
• Spacious bedroom and den area with a fireplace
• Painted tongue & groove ceiling for a classic coastal feel
• Two pocket doors and custom trim work
• 4 impact-rated windows, including a circular hallway window and two custom windows beside the fireplace
• Built-in shelving for both the hallway and bedroom closets
• Two brick landings for entry and exit to the addition

🚧 How the Project Came Together:
We began with engineering and permitting, then removed the existing deck to start fresh. Our crew poured a 600 sq. ft. slab addition connected to the home, along with a 60-foot sidewalk and new parking area out front.

After the concrete work, we framed the structure and tied it into the house before installing the windows and exterior finishes. The exterior features board and batten Hardie siding coated with Loxon self-cleaning paint, along with a Galvalume Tuff Rib roof on the gables and a Galvalume standing seam roof on the low-pitch section with the fireplace.

Inside, we finished the space with tongue and groove ceilings, drywall walls, Sherwin-Williams paint, custom trim, and new interior doors throughout the home to ensure everything matched perfectly.

✨ The goal was to make this addition look completely seamless with the original house, and we’re proud to say it turned out exactly that way.

We recently completed this beautiful 24’ x 14’ paver pad paired with a 10’ x 17’ pergola, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out!

The pergola was built using CCA-treated rough cut lumber, made from true dimensional lumber for added strength and longevity. The structure features 6x6 posts, 2x12 beams, and 2x8 rafters, all tied together with black Simpson outdoor accent hardware—giving it both superior strength and a clean, modern look.

For the paver pad, we started by removing the existing grass and soil. A w**d barrier was installed, followed by 6 inches of drainage gravel to create a solid foundation. On top of that, we added 1–2 inches of rock paver base, which is far superior to traditional sand bases.
We then laid a 3-piece pattern concrete paver, finished with polymeric sand to lock everything in place while preventing insects and unwanted vegetation.

To top it all off, we applied a high-gloss sealer to protect the pavers and give them that rich, “wet look” finish.

Deck Expansion Completed in Fairhope, Alabama!

We recently completed a deck expansion in Fairhope, AL, turning an existing deck into a much larger space designed for parties, gatherings, and outdoor entertaining. We also built the addition next to the deck, which helped bring the entire house, addition, and deck together into one cohesive design.

This nearly 700 sq. ft. deck was built for strength and longevity using 6x6 CCA rough-cut posts and 2x12 joist framing. The entire deck was picture-framed to eliminate visible butt joints, and we added stairs built directly into the framing for a clean, seamless finish.

Sovine Construction is proud to share a beautiful 500 sq. ft. custom deck we recently completed in Loxley, AL. This project transformed a failing, weathered deck into a long-lasting outdoor space built for strength, function, and curb appeal.

After removing the deteriorated existing deck, our team excavated and cleared all grass, then installed landscape fabric and 2 inches of drainage gravel. This helps control moisture and prevents grass and w**ds from growing beneath the structure—protecting the deck for years to come.

Sovine Construction (HBLB # 28923) is excited to showcase a recently completed 24’ x 20’ two-story addition in beautiful Fairhope, Alabama! This new space was thoughtfully designed to match the existing home, creating a seamless extension that feels original to the property.

To meet Fairhope’s building ordinances, our team excavated 4 feet down so the new structure could comply with height requirements for a two-story design. We then installed a 40-foot wood retention wall to ensure long-term stability and support.
