Barn Restoration

This Barn was completely dismantled and rebuilt. Each log was numbered to be relocated to its original location, we had to replace/replicate quite a few logs as some were rotten,

The barn is now supported with a new foundation, and mostly new roof structure, all siding and exterior trim was reused from original barn

The doors and windows are fully insulated, including insulated roof, it is now a fully functioning garage.

Barn Restoration...

This beautiful historic Barn is getting a complete makeover... it is believed to have been built in early 1900s

We have it completely dismantled and are on the process of reassembly, we started with a complete new foundation, logs are being restacked, it will get a new roof, new windows, and new doors. it will then be insulated roof and walls and be used as a heated shop.

As many of you might already know I pride myself in preserving history, and truly enjoy these projects, mostly to see the craftsmanship and the hard work that went into a project like this.

This barn is one of a kind, it has dovetailed corners, the logs some being as big as 18" diameter have been Hand hewn with an axe to 6" wide, where the logs came from is unclear, but is believed they may have been floated down the nearby river, beings there is no timber nearby
