Congratulations to the JB Green Team on an incredible milestone! 🎉
In April 2025, Jefferson and Belmont Counties in Ohio made history as the first counties in the state to install Foam Cycle, LLC foam packaging recycling system for EPS. The JB Green Team has since recycled over 18,461 pounds of densified foam - diverting the equivalent of approximately 18 fully loaded 30-yard containers from landfills.
Our very own Bob Dever has worked alongside the team in Ohio helping facilitate the expansion of EPS recycling in local communities, because when industry and community partners work together, EPS can be truly circular.
Thank you for being great partners in helping our planet 🌍

In April 2025, the JB Green Team, representing the combined recycling efforts of Jefferson and Belmont Counties in Ohio, became the first counties in Ohio to install the patented Foam Cycle foam packaging recycling system for expanded polystyrene (EPS), commonly known as Styrofoam.
Based in Steubenville, Ohio, the JB Green Team is led by Executive Director Anita Petrella, whose vision helped bring a much-needed foam recycling solution to local residents.
At the program's launch event, attended by local officials, residents, and media, one attendee stood out: Bob Dever of Atlas Molded Products.
Bob's participation was noteworthy because he represented one of the most influential companies in the EPS industry. Atlas Molded Products is among the nation's largest manufacturers of expanded polystyrene products, operating 15 manufacturing facilities in the US, along with 1 in Mexico and 3 in Canada.
Bob's presence at the event demonstrated what can happen when industry, government, and local communities work together to keep valuable materials in circulation and out of our landfills.
Speaking to the crowd that day, Bob summed up his philosophy perfectly:
"If it's good for the environment and the EPS industry, it's good for Atlas Molded Products. And if it's good for Atlas Molded Products, it's good for Bob Dever. That's what motivates me."
That philosophy reflects the collaborative spirit that has helped Foam Cycle grow. Success in recycling comes from partnerships, shared goals, and people willing to invest their time and energy in solutions that benefit everyone involved.
Fast forward 14 months, and the JB Green Team's foam recycling program has produced remarkable results.
To date, the program has accumulated 18,461 pounds of densified foam, equivalent to approximately 18 fully loaded 30-yard roll-off containers of loose foam packaging that otherwise would have been buried in a landfill.
With support from Bob Dever and Atlas Molded Products, the densified foam was transported to manufacturers, where it will be recycled into new products.
The sale generated more than $2,700 in revenue, which will be returned to the JB Green Team to support and expand its recycling programs.
This is a perfect example of the circular economy in action: residents recycle, local government provides the infrastructure, industry helps create end markets, valuable materials remain in circulation, landfill space is preserved, and recycling programs generate revenue that can be reinvested back into the community.
That is what a true win-win looks like.
