What would Florida be without its beaches, wildlife, and tropical greenery?
Certainly not the vacation paradise that we all know and love. That's why this Earth Day, we're revisiting as an example of sustainable, eco-conscious construction that works with the land- not against it. Across the eleven projects we built at the world-class resort, we utilized:
- Turtle compliant glass and exterior lighting to prevent interference with turtle egg hatching
- Pre-existing wooden posts from the marina deconstruction for infrastructural features at Captiva Landing
- Energy efficient pool pumps, heaters, and mechanical equipment to minimize emissions
- Palm tree nursery relocation and replanting to protect local flora
- Extensive erosion control measures to preserve natural beaches
Sustainable construction is not a "nice-to-have", it's a necessity. We're thankful to get to call such a beautiful place home, which is why we work to protect it.
