Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of my current and future customers. Cavallo Mechanical will be closed to observe Christmas and New Year's starting tomorrow. Tuesday December 23-Jan 2nd. To those customers who have appointments scheduled, they will remain scheduled during this time. We will be open for emergency service calls 24/7 as always during this holiday break. I ask that if you can text, please do. I respond to texting faster than voicemail messages. Text messages will be answered within 1hr where voicemail messages I check twice a day. On Monday I had another opportunity to work in The Venue, a 55+ Retirement Community of single family homes. Every style and layout has the same issue. A huge storage area thats not insulated nor does it have any type of heating or cooling. This makes this space unusable as precious belongings would be destroyed in the high summer heat. Some in the cold winter. I had my opportunity for my fourth installation in this lovely community on Monday. I was happy to hear that not only the inspector was pleased but more importantly the homeowners. Quick Emergency Swap from last week. 20yr old 92% Trane heat exchanger finally cracked. A very large well known HVAC company has been performing the yearly maintenance on this particular locations 6 hvac systems. Cleaning condenser coils, clean and vacuum burner compartments and combustion cabinets. Testing safety controls etc. From the condition of everything, looks like they were collecting a paycheck and heavily billing for breakdowns. Which honestly could have been prevented with proper maintenance. Jumping limits and roll out switches may let a system run but its unsafe and a liability for the company. Needless to say all 6 furnaces have been properly analyzed using combustion analysis. Found this one in poor condition and had a heat exchanger failure. Now not only does the customer have heating again, but a furnace that carries the best warranty in the entire industry. 96.2% Goodman 100k BTU Furnace with custom fabricated ductwork transition made by Custom HVAC LLC out of Lawrenceville NJ. Schedule is pretty filled for the next month. However if you find yourself without heat or needing a new system, I will make sure you get your heat back up and running or system replaced. Out with the old and in with the new! Existing furnace was a 92% Downflow Propane furnace. Exhaust pipe inside the cabinet cracked and warped from overheating. The condensate then ate through the burner plate. Heat exchanger was cracked. Original installation company never converted the furnace to Propane. The builder of the house never converted the appliances to Propane. That resulted in the homeowners getting brand new appliances because the old ones were severely damaged from not having the proper Propane conversion kits installed. The furnace however was eventually converted to Propane after having already been running on natural gas orifices and gas valve. There also wasn't any gas pressure switch for safety and gas flex passed through the furnace cabinet. Very lucky that no one was injured and a fire didn't start. The new furnace was properly converted to Propane. A low pressure Propane switch was installed. Finally the gas line was hard piped through the furnace cabinet. A complete safety check and commissioning of the furnace was performed at start up. This new Goodman 96% Propane converted furnace is running exactly to manufacturer requirements. This ensures the homeowners not only get long life out of their new furnace but its also safe to operate! This afternoon turned out to be an AC kind of day but these nights are cold! Today's Ductless installation. Two 18k indoor units and a multi port 3ton Heatpump. One zone is for the garage and the second is for the loft. This is the second two zone ductless Heatpump I've done in Eastampton 55+ community. All the homes have several rooms that have improper hvac and no insulation in the walls or ceiling. Cavallo Mechanical is the first and as of now, only hvac contractor to get permission from the HOA to add ductless hvac to the homes. I'm happy to be able to provide solutions for the homeowners hvac issues. I look forward to hearing from more homeowners within the community and providing installation services. Weil McLain AquaBalance 155 95% efficient boiler is completed. I like the simplicity of this boiler and its ability to heat quickly. Very quiet operation. The Taco 3 speed pumps really help push the long distances in this house ensuring even heating. Winter is quickly approaching and now would be the best time for any furnace or boiler replacement.
